Eight years primary infertility, 

then two sons quickly

This professional  woman married in Shani/Shukra simultaneous with the signature Rahu-Ketu transit to radix nodes.  

She held a great desire for the validation of children and family. The marital couple tried medical fertility treatments and attempted adoptions. Yet, she and her husband  were deprived of children -- until the classic Guru period allowed the birth of children.


Black Madonna of  CzestochowaShani mahadasha enforced many years of waiting, working hard, accepting limitations, depression, and finally acceptance of  loss.  

Then suddenly, at the tail-end of this battering of Shani, in the short space of Shani/Guru bhukti, this older mother conceived and bore two very-close-in-age beautiful sons.

Shani = karaka for separation, delay, frustration, and poverty. In domain-5, Shani particularly harms expressions of individual genius (the province of natural lord Ravi) including the greatest genius of all: the birth of a human child. 

Shani in putra bhava, without helpful drishti to either domain-5 or to the child-karakas, may indicate lifelong childlessness. 

Ketu + Shani can provide mystical literary skills & meditative awareness of the flow of genius through the universe. Yet Ketu + material-bondage Shani in the child house will produce, for matters of simple socially-validated reproduction, deep and persistent fear of creative invalidation, manifesting as uncertainty, confusion, and despair. 

Luckily, in this nativity, Guru provides a helpful drishti to the both L-9 Shukra and to maternal, nourishing Chandra.

At first glance, Shani's oppressive weight in domain-5 might appear to create a lifelong condition of blockage to divine creativity and with it, an absence of solar-brilliant children. Yet Guru bhukti gloriously reverses this dour prediction, and fully resolves her sorrow into joy.


ch11_dasha.GIFFrom the beginning of Shani's harsh mahadasha, the native suffered numerous health problems.  Irregular growths (Guru) of  inner "skin" (Kumbha rules skin) appeared to be preventing fertility.  Medical treatments were both painful and ineffective. Eventually the young couple abandoned hope of  producing a natural family.   

Shani's mahadasha activates his rashi houses - 5th of children, and 6th of animosity/disease.  The wife's Shani mahadasha also activates navamsha 1st and 12th houses, which signify her husband's experience of wife's body and wife's body's hospitalization. 

Guru's usual beneficence is deeply compromised in the hostile sign of Kumbha in Ari Bhava, the maximum-dushthamsha house.  

Fertility waiting, despite the frustration, because Guru aspects Chandra-yuti-L9-Shukra. 

The mahadasha of Guru's dispositor Shani combined with the bhukti of Guru the child-karaka activated the inherent fertility promised in Guru's drishti to Chandra/L-9 Shukra.

Furthermore and very importantly, Rahu-Ketu had returned to their natal rashi positions on the 5/11 child-goals axis, greatly enhancing the powers of the mahadasha-pati 5th lord Shani, and creating the extraordinary karmic "breakthrough" that typically accompanies the second full nodal return.

Both pregnancies were - given Guru's compromised position - predictably complicated.  However the native was so cautious and attentive to detail after 17 years of practicing Shani's "due diligence" that all problems were skillfully addressed.


The native was quite overwhelmed - in midlife - with her surprise abundance.  Luckily the mahadasha of her exalted, panch-maha-purusha L-1/L-10 Budha, which brings favorable auspice into public service and vitality of the physical body, ensued immediately after the children were born. 

Thus she entered a period of great happiness, which should sustain her through the duration of Budha mahadasha - another 17 years.
