Children 14: Four Children to Non-residential Mother
This remarkable woman is a gifted intuitive counselor, performance artist, and psychic healer. Vrischika on the 10th navamsha (career) shows her remarkable healing powers which span several medical-surgical traditions and techniques. Under pressure of broken communications with the spouse, this psychically sensitive personality left the family home in her Philippines village. The youngest of her four children was still an infant. Her husband's parents took the children. She maintained a loving relationship with her children (all adults now), frequently visiting and always communicating. Yet she but lived and traveled separately from them. She is an exceptionally creative person with many artistic projects. Her personal healer's destiny, as she defined it, caused her to live and work at a oceanic distance from her young (Ketu + L-5 Budha). However she stayed in positive communication and the children always recognized her as their mother. The children's single father has raised them. He has had several female adult companions during the 20 years of child-raising. But interestingly he would never remarry and furthermore the children would not accept any other female authority except their grandmother. Child-karaka Guru in rashi lagna aspects Chandra in dharma bhava, giving considerable fertility. The first three children emerged in self-defining L-1 Shani Mahadasha. the native was raised in a highly traditional culture. She acknowledges that she produced her children primarily from a sense of duty - classic Shani. The fourth baby emerged inL-5 Budha-Budha swabhukti, strong in swakkshetra-5 in D-9, and lord of Saptamsha. The fourth baby is different in character, not meek, and not surprisingly has less sense of duty toward the to the mother. Mother's distance from her children is seen via Budha in the long-distance Vyava bhava, residing in destructive 8th from its own house, along with physically separative Saturn and philosophically detached Ketu. Social and emotional continuity in the long-distance relationship as well as the children's duty toward their mother, is seen in dignified Makara Shani as lord of Guru, L-5 Mercury, and mother's lagna. Additionally, exalted (highly dignified) Shani occupies saptamsha 5th house, and 5th-from-Shani is Guru himself. Exalted Mars in Vyaya bhava, additionally strong due in its influence on her children due to D-9 Vargottamshashows that the native 's dedication to her professional work is powerful enough to dominate her other interests, including child-rearing. Although the native is fond of children, she needs long periods of solitude and interaction with other adults to develop her unique knowledge. She married a capable father who was generally able to provide all the necessary day-to-day parenting himself. Shani the duty planet also casts His eye upon dhana bhava-2 = the responsible second spouse. Although married a total of six times in her 70 years of life, the native produced children only via the second marriage. She is a proud grandmother now and the children seem to have weathered the storm of the non-resident mom with plenty of cheer. |
