Children 15:

Ambitious Foster Parent

unable to conceive, religious 'mega-mother' abuses 12 foster-step-adopted children

A Jyotisha tale of Rahu's trickery in Karkata's world: Kinder, Küche, Kirche

Rahu = self-aggrandizement via exaggerated powers of parenting ; falsified child-adoption; financial fraud; uncharged kidnapping

four marriages

Ambitious Foster Parent D1D9

A remarkable story told by a client (misappropriated 'son' of the Rahu-1 native here described).

Rahu in Bhava-1 generates a powerful desire to manifest as an Important Personality.

Like Lord Rahu in the myth of Rahu-Ketu, the native is acting on ancient, unfulfilled desires to self-elevate from the station of one's birth to a rank of higher social recognition and privilege. Characteristic of clever and expedient Rahu, the native can be expected to use exotic, taboo, or devious means to accomplish the goal "whatever it takes". Also characteristic of Rahu, one may choose illicit pathways toward the prize.

Desire-driven Rahu - who is a fierce enemy of Shani - goes under the moral system, over the moral system, and around the moral system in His passionate pursuit of that single obsessive, self-validating goal.

Rahu in the entangling, seducing, squeezing and binding nakshatra of Azlesha interprets that passion for self-elevation in context of parenting and home-life, generating a purported 'super parent'.

  • Yet unfortunately Rahu is rarely concerned with the welfare of others, regardless of His propaganda.

  • In this case a Great Display of sheltering, nurturing, protective behaviors masks an underlying hunger for recognition so powerful that acquisition of children became Rahu's instrumental "means to an end"

  • Despite perhaps good intentions going in, Rahu encouraged illicit behaviors, and parenting (Karkata) because both fraudulent and abusive.

Lagnesha Chandra in a nakshatra of Guru indicates one with a religious or at least pious nature. the native 's social demeanor was marked by a forthright religiosity. Her grace in the role of teacher was much appreciated (Shukra-Thula in 4); and she enjoyed a good career in local schooling + real-estate during the 20 years of Shukra mahadasha. She died recently (Surya-Shani period) thus her tale may now be told.

In the early, dark and depressing Shani mahadasha (Shani-12) which dominated her puberty and early adulthood, she had sought sanctuary in a religious vocation. Having professed vows of self-dissolution, poverty and celibacy during Shani-Guru period (Shani in dissolving 12; Guru L-9 religious life) the native undertook disciplined (Shani) training to be a religious-school teacher (Dhanushya = navamsha 10th).

  • But seven years later, Budha Mahadasha well underway, the dissociative influence of Budha-Ketu caused these life-defining vows to be "returned" to the Church. She suddenly announced (Budha) betrothal (7) to young soldier (Makara) who had already 'shipped out' and whom she had known for less than a week (Ketu in 7).

The 'goals' of Budha period are set by Rahu-11th-from-Budha, and Budha is powerfully affected by drishti from the child-oriented Lord of Rahu Guru-directed Purvabhadrapada Chandra (cf. Hillary Clinton, Purvabhadrapada Chandra = Children's Defense Fund.)

  • Due to impressionable uchcha Budha's relationship to Chandra, it would expected that Budha mahadasha would produce many effects of Chandra and Rahu.

During Budha-Ketu period, Ketu brought her into a government (Makara)-sponsored teaching program in the inner-city ghetto, where she was filled with ambition to 'save' socially ostracized (Ketu) children.

Reacting in Azlesa 'rescue' mode, after several parents did not appear on time to retrieve their kids, the native took children to her home leaving no contact information (Budha) "for their safety and security" (Karkata). She was asked to resign from the job due to violation of contract (Ketu-7; L-7 Shani in 6th-from-7th broken contract) but due to the respect accorded her religious affiliation, no kidnapping charges were filed.

Marriage-1 = multiple children

After being let go (Ketu), and while still engaged (7) to the distant soldier, her Budha-Shukra period started and she quickly married a widower with numerous children, who was twice her age. (Karkata lagna generally marries a Shani-elder. ) When he died suddenly (L-7 Shani-death in 6th from 7th, death by disease) she claimed the widower's children. Indeed she fought competing custody claims by their own relatives, based on her superior parenting qualifications supported by religion affiliation.

  • Budha holds a favorable angle to every graha in the kundali *except* Guru - thus all challengers to Budha's arguments are likely to lose their bid (except during Guru bhukti).

Marriage-2 = additional children

As a young widow in a long-running Budha-Shukra bhukti, she negotiated a second marriage in less than a year. Again she found an elder divorced man with children who needed (Karkata) "rescue" into a religious home (L-9 Chandra).

  • When the children's bio-mother sought visitation rights, the native fought this challenge also upon religious qualifications, ensuring that the foster children could know no other mother. The parochial courts agreed that her superb caretaker credentials should not be questioned.

  • Note that marriage-1 and marriage-2 are both harmed by Shani in the 12th-from-Rahu and 6th-from-Ketu.

  • Shani = L-7 and also Shani karaka for 2nd husband. Shani also dominates the navamsha lagna, transforming marriage into duty.

  • Furthermore Guru karaka = first husband = unhealthy L-6.

During Budha-Guru period, Guru = L-6 complaints and , allegations of physical and emotional abuse within the home began to arise, reported by neighbors, relatives, teachers, and the children themselves. Specifically, the abuse consisted of emotional attacks = name-calling, false accusations, and vicious criticism (Mangala-Kanya-3). Bruising and imprisonment (Shani-12) were also recorded. One child committed suicide but coroner's report was "inconclusive".

  • Social workers were called in, but they too did not investigate due to the masking power of roguish Rahu in social-personality-1. Believing it to be unlikely that a woman who spent 7 years in cloistered prayer would cause harm to children. Rahu occupies the dissolving 12th-from-Guru who is the litigious L-6.

  • The complaints dissolved due mainly to Rahu's placement in 12th from Guru and Rahu's lord Chandra very well disposed in the religious 9th taking support from logical, argumentative uchcha Budha.

Forty years later, of course, the scandal of widespread child-abuse by religious vow-holders in various churches and cults around the world has become common knowledge. But in those days, the public trust in "selfless" religious clerics was nearly absolute and Rahu's relative angle worked well in her favor.

Typical of Rahu's "camouflage" mix of fair-means-with-foul, a few of the children were legally adopted. Regardless of their legality, however all were brow-beaten by constant criticism and frequently punished. Legal contracts = L-7 Shani in 6th-from-7th. Shani-12 tends to hide "skeletons in the closet" (Shani - skeletons; 12 = closet) . The public did not see her child-punishing actions as illegal. ( the native who recounted this story was a victim of many punishments for purported crimes against "the family".)

Mega-mom boasted in public that she had powerful maternal capabilities (Rahu-Karkata-1). This despite her remarkably young age and her inability to conceive natural children into any of the marriages. The boast (Rahu) seemed to "hold water" (Karkata) in the public eye; she was praised in the church for her 'nurturing'.

In Rahu's delusion of passion to be a Great Person, she filed tax and assistance entitlements (Rahu = false entitlements) for money-payments in the classic Rahu-mix = both legal and illegal. This became such a profitable business (Rahu's lord Chandra in Chandra-Mangala yoga with L-3 Budha commerce) that she obtained several more "rescue" children from the State, and by the end of L-3 Budha mahadasha (self-owned business) was earning a tidy commercial profit.

  • Shani lord of 8 = taxes; L-8 Shani in 12 'dissolves the tax debt' while Guru lord of 11th-from-8th brings capital savings from the tax process

  • in the USA, citizens can request "credits" within the tax documents which can produce a net gain from tax payments. Guru (children) L-11-from-8-in-treasure-chest-2 did produce this profit from the child-acqusition-business.

Self-delusion, Public delusion

Unfortunately, while she continued to boast (Rahu) about her rescue-parenting largesse, the children lived in misery of constant criticism and several had "run away" to their relatives complaining of abuse. Yet the native succeeded in fooling the public (Rahu the Trickster) year after year. When relatives appealed for investigation of abuses, they were told it was not possible to reopen the case since the pretender-mother was an "unquestionably" good person.

Third Marriage

The number of appropriated children had reached double-digits when Ketu-Ketu swabhukti brought a medical diagnosis of personal infertility (Ketu rises in Saptamsha) There followed a swift divorce, followed by a Ketu-style sudden and inappropriate third marriage in the Ketu-Shukra period. The third husband, also religious widower, brought yet more children into the bulging and quarrelsome home (Mangala-Kanya drishti to Chandra).

Although the third marriage was brief (and verbally violent, due to intense Kuja Dosha of Mangala-Kanya+Budha upon bhava-9) she continued to claim benefit payments for the newest step-children and to announce herself in public as the "mother of twelve".

Fourth Marriage

End of Cycle = gochara Shani contact Makara-Ketu-7

After the tumult of bad marriages and abusive caretaking during Budha mahadasha and Ketu mahadasha, the native cleverly relocated to a remote province and resumed her original career of school-teaching (L-4). A fourth marriage in Shukra-Shukra swabhukti finally brought some degree of marital stability (4) and happiness.

  • The potent Shani transit through Makara helped to "shut down" the previous lifestyle. Shani drishti to: Ketu, Chandra, Rahu, and mahadashapati badhesha Shukra brought a new era of sobriety and legal concern (7) while it effectively suppressed self-elevating Rahu.

Shukra-Thula in 4 = 4th marriage, generally favorable for a security-oriented later-in-life marriage. There will be some problems for sure as Shukra = L-11 badhesha for Karkata lagna in 6/8 from Meena Chandra, and there will be some emotional incompatibility of Shukra = L-3/L-8 from Meena Chandra. However the auspice for harmony of cultural backgrounds is good with swakshetra Shukra the Harmonizer in foundational 4.

  • Importantly, the Shukra-Shukra marriage created no new 'rescue' children.

  • Nor did the native choose to teach school-age kids (she taught adults).

  • By this time, national laws against child-abuse had begun to emerge

  • perhaps she began to recognize that many of her past parenting actions could now be considered abusive.

  • Maybe she wasn't so Great after all. To demonstrate, she bought a very small house.

Whatever the consciousness, Shukra-Shukra signaled her stop-point.

  • She stopped misappropriating (Rahu) children. Those still in her care were grown.

  • Rahu = 10th from Shukra = a dignified public reputation. Due to her troublesome Nodes being in kendra from Shukra, her new identity in the new location was not tainted.

  • During Shukra-Shani she gave private money payments (Shukra) to settle abuse claims out-of-court (Shukra-4, settlements). The adult 'rescue' children distanced themselves (L-5 Mangala in dissolving 12th from Shukra).

  • Except for an occasional self-aggrandizing repetition of her old fraudulent claim to being 'the mother of 12 grown children' no further mention of the past occurred.

As is so often the case, after a long history of financial fraud and child-abuse, the native entered a radically new phase of life which seemed entirely separate from her troubled past.

She served her community (Shukra L-11) as a gifted teacher and real-estate agent (Shukra-4). The twenty years of Shukra mahadasha brought pleasant lifestyle in a small, remote village where no-one knew about her background. L-6 Guru in Simha eventually caused a spinal disease (Simha = spine) and in maraka L-2 Surya Mahadasha that disease caused her death from heart (Simha) failure.
