Children 15: Primary Infertility in Male  Children by Adoption after a long Delay This professional male was diagnosed as reproductively sterile at age 30, early in his marriage. He underwent exploratory surgery & his wife endured many medical fertility treatments, to no avail. After exhausting their medical options, the couple embarked upon the legal adoption process.  They encountered delays & disappointment in adoption. Finally, at onset of his Guru mahadasha, the native & his wife successfully adopted two healthy, beautiful infants. Where is the male infertility? Malefics Rahu and Shani in the 5th from Jupiter cause fertility troubles.  In addition, the burning presence of natural malefic Surya in putra bhava is too hot for the wet business of reproduction, and therefore generally unfavorable for children. "Only one son is denoted if there be a malefic in the 5th house, while Jupiter is in the 5th from Saturn or vice versa."   -- BPHS  Ch. 16, shloka 29 -- BPHS  Ch. 16, shloka 29 Surya is not entirely malefic because He rules the auspicious 10th house.  Yet Shani/Rahu will cause psycho-physical obstacles in Vrischikha, the 8th-rashi of the "hidden" parts of the sexual/reproductive system.. Malefic aspect of L-6 Mars upon key fertility karakas: The primary fertility factors in any chart are: Guru the child-karaka putra bhava & 5th lord dharma bhava & 9th lord Chandra In this native's charts, exalted Guru is a quadruple-powered karaka for children: natural karaka 5th-lord aspects putra bhava occupies the D-7 lagna in exaltation Mesha Chandra is also an essential child planet: 9th lord karaka for nurturing L-6 Kuja aspects L-5 Guru and L-9 Chandra with the great strength of exaltation and parivartan with his lord Shani, bringing a 6th-house disease / imbalance factor as well as Shani's delay factor to these key reproductive planets. L-9 Chandra yuti L-8 Budha is also inauspicious for children. Where is the delay in obtaining children? "If the fifth has a malefic in it or Saturn is in the 5th from Jupiter, the native will beget offspring only through his second or third wife." -- BPHS Ch. 16, shloka 30 (We can perhaps interpret Parashara's language about subsequent wives to accommodate the reality of his children being the product of other birth mothers.) Rahu mahadasha amplifies the effects of Shani and Kuja throughout His 18-year rule.  Shani and Kuja are exceptionally strong in parivartan with Shani in dignity in the lagna and Kuja exalted.  Guru's strength would seem to guaranteed the acquisition of children during the current lifetime.  However, sincerely though this young couple may have tried to reproduce, Rahu/Shani/Kuja completely  blocked happiness from children during mahadasha of Rahu. The native was married in Rahu/Shani period and began to desire a family soon after. However the next bhukti Rahu/Budha is infertile due to L-8 Budha yuti L-9 Chandra. All subsequent bhutki periods of the Rahu mahadasha are inauspicious, including the Rahu/Moon period which fails not only because Rahu gives results of Shani but also because of the 6/8 angle of Rahu to Moon. Saptamsha Shani and L-5 Guru occupy the saptamsha lagna, where Guru is exalted. Shani's degree in D-7 is lower than the degree of Guru.  Thus Shani will succumb to Guru in when Guru is empowered by dasha. (And not earlier!) Where is the eventual success in adopting two children?
