This
hardworking mother of five died of heart failure in her 35th year, leaving five
motherless children behind.
Tragically, her husband died only a few months later, leaving
five young orphans.
The 19-year
mahadasha of L-9 Shani is a highly
mixed experience in this native's life.
Shani is
essentially beneficial in his home sign in the auspicious
dharma bhava. However,
Shani is badly fallen in Mesha navamsha.
As the all-good L-9 of the rashi chart who also receives drishti of the exalted
Guru, Shani will give good results in
outer life. He provides traditional values, respectability, children,
religious education, dedication to elders and tradition, and modest income
through steady, disciplined work.
However in navamsha which reveals
conditions of the marriage, Shani is quite inauspicious. He is fallen as
L6 in the 8th navamsha with Shukra, karaka for love of the spouse, suggesting
animosity arising from secret matters of the spouse, trauma of war, hate,
bloodshed, etc - all the evils of barbarian Mesha Shani. (In fact, the spouse
was heavily traumatized by his classified service in the Korean War.)
Regarding children,
-
L-9 Shani is
the karaka of separations.
He benefits enormously from drishti of exalted Guru the karaka for children, but
Guru is also L-8, creator of the conditions for
death. So in the end Shani is fortunate for producing children but not
for maintaining them.
-
L-5 Budha strong in His own sign
(Mithuna) occupying dhana bhava the
maraka house, suggests the children would have a knowledge of death.
Yuti Surya L-4 and Shukra L-1/L-6, the knowledge of death may well be through
their mother (L-4) and her health issues (L-6).
-
In saptamsha, L-9 Shani occupies the
5th house of children, strengthening D-1's signification of this mother's
commitment to transfer her traditional religious values and commitment to public
service to her children.
-
Ketu/Rahu
dominate her 5th house, showing that something peculiar would happen
with her children. Ketu occupying putra bhava additionally suggests
detachment and separation from children on the karmic agenda.
The charts of all
five of these children display a strong "nodal" profile, very prominently
affected by actions of Rahu/Ketu.
Sudden death of the mother occurred during
the classic gochara Rahu-Ketu return near the 36th year - ON THE 5/11 AXIS of
the rashi chart and ON THE 1/7 AXIS of the navamsha while gochara Rahu/Ketu
contacted mahadasha-pati Shani in the saptamsha.
A very potent time for sudden
upheaval and catastrophic change of all kinds, but considering its movement
through 5/11 in rashi and contacting L9 in saptamsha, the implications for
children are heightened. All children were under twelve at the time, and devastated by
their mother's death.
However, perhaps due to the rigorous
moral and technical education they received from their mother during her
demanding mahadasha of L9/L11 Shani, all of the children were well prepared
for public life. Each completed their graduate education and all have
prospered as adults.
