Death 7: Wife of Death Chart 4 -  Death of First Husband this reading in progress, please check back... Death of first spouse on April 1, 2000.   In the wife's chart, there are signals that the first spouse may leave his physical body.     Vimshottari Dasha at the time of spouse's death = Jupiter/Saturn/Rahu.  See Saturn as L2 - a powerful Maraka (separator) planet.   Accompanied by the two other most powerful marakas, Mars and Rahu, Saturn wields considerable death power in this chart. Transits of Shani and Rahu-Ketu do have independent power.  However, other transits have minimal inherent power UNLESS those transits directly affect reigning bhukti lords. Even a brief event like Chandra passing over a bhukti lord for 2.3 days, has potency.  A very major transit such as Shani or Rahu passing over or casting a drishti upon the current bhukti-pat, will alter the characteristics of the bhukti period. At the time of her husband's death both Shani & Guru were transiting across her navamsha lagna.    Lagna of the D-9 is the 7th from Navamsha-7th, e.g., a point of death for the first spouse.  Two extra pointers: in navamsha, Saturn is transiting 8 houses away from his home (Virgo/6) and as he makes that transit in a fallen (disastrous) state he conjuncts navamsha Mercury who is lord of navamsha Saturn.  Saturn is busy! During the bhukti of a powerfully positioned second lord, we anticipate the death of someone close -- or perhaps the native herself.  Saturn in this rashi is quite destructive.  Looking only at the rashi, however, we could only speculate who would choose to separate from his/her body during this native's evil bhukti.   Would it be her mother?  Mother was becoming elderly, Saturn was transiting in a fallen state through the 4th house of mother, and Moon a significator of Mother occupies hidden house-8 with dasha lord Jupiter.   However there is a special chart for parents called the dwadamsha or D-12 (see below) which has no special significations of parental death.  Saturn owns good houses in the D-12, and his transit through the 12th house of D-12 indicates more meditation or prayerfulness in the parent than physical separation.   Conclusion:  Death of a spouse is always emotionally difficult.  However, rashi Jupiter occupies house 8 along with L7 Moon.  This exceptionally intuitive woman (Moon/Jupiter) always knew that her husband would predecease her.  Within the navamsha, we can see the over-indulgent disease-causing Venus lurking in maraka house 2, 8th from the 7th-navamsha (which represents the first husband's body.)  Venus points us to her first husband's chain-smoking, obesity, and eventually spleen cancer.    When she recognized the permanent character of his health habits, she became well-insured (positive 8th house) against his death.  This favorable insurance (8th house) combined with the fact that Saturn as L2 is financially well-placed in house-11 with sudden-changes Rahu, allowed her to realize a substantial material profit through the event of his death.  Her and her children's lifestyle improved substantially.  This female native is still raising children in the home.  She will seek a second spouse in part to help care for her children and also because of several karakas for second marriage, including the fact that her 16-year mahadasha of navamsha lagnesha Vrihaspati will be happening during the likely era of remarriage. A second marriage is predicted during upcoming sub-periods of L-1 or L-7 of navamsha, when those sub-periods operate concurrently with an appropriate transit of Rahu-Ketu. Next bhukti of L-7 of D-9 will be Guru/Budha period 2002-2004, and a portion of this period coordinates with gochara Rahu-Ketu crossing her radix nodes.  Read the character/appearance of her second husband by seeing the 2nd house of the radix as his lagna/body. A second marriage did occur in Guru/Budha/Kuja period.  Kuja is lord of marriage-maker Rahu, and Kuja is also lord of house-4 = the home.
