div2_dasha1.GIFGeneral radix conditions for the first marriage:

  • Radix L-7 Kuja Occupying 11th-from-swakshetra bhava-5 = reasonably favorable for marriage.
  • Shukra in Vrishabha, Mithuna, or Thulais romantic and kind.
  • Shukra's lord = 7th-from-Chandra = Budha.
  • Budha = 4th-from-Shukra = traditional ly a poor position for matters of Shukra.

Bhukti of a planet occupying 4th-from-Shukra gives bad results in Shukra Mahadasha. Shukra/Budhawas the period of marital separation.
  • Budha = uchcha signifying intelligence, but in dushthamsha bhava-12 for foreign lands. The spouse is a foreigner.
  • Kuja sends the 8th-drishti to house-12, creating a kuja dosha counting from Chandra.
  • bhava-8 = joint assets of marriage = Ketu + drishti of malefics Shani, Rahu, and Kuja. There is no drishti from a benefic. This is a tough arrangement for marital finance.

Navamsha conditions

  • navamsha L-7 = VargottamshaGuru, who occupies a favorable 9th-from-swakshetra in D-9.
  • Guru occupies the 3rd navamsha which teamwork and commerce. Guru with Saturn in any house shows hard work with delayed reward, yet diligent focus on the goal. The first spouse works long and hard, with gain arriving only late in life.
  • Gurubrings benefits of religion, ethical behavior and political integrity (royalism).
  • In Simha navamsha, Guru produces material effects of spousal character through Surya in radix.

    • Surya is a complex, highly ethical graha in this nativity. L-11 Surya receives malefic drishti of Kuja (friendly) and Shani (oppressive) while Surya is so close to Guru that Guru is very nearly combust. The spouse is a man of good character and strong work habits who is nevertheless extremely willfuland intractably stubborn.

Subconsciously held profile of spouse-1, manifests as:

  • The leading indicator of native's expectation regarding the personal qualities and social value of the first marriage, is the navamsha lord of radix L-7, in its radix rashi.

    • radix L-7 being Kuja, find Kuja in navamsha; D-9 Kuja occupies a navamsha of Budha
    • transfer the subconscious pattern into conscious manifestation by observing the character of Budha in radix.
  • for this native, Budha's qualities are all relevant to the profile of 1st marriage and spouse. Radix Budha plays a number of key roles, including 7th-from-Chandra. A few qualities can be noted (not exhaustive):

    • Budha = radix L-9+L-12 = children, religion and foreign lands. The spouse is foreign-born, belonging to a religious lineage.
    • Budha receives drishti of L-2+L-7 maraka Kuja, for family traditions and loyalty in agreements.
    • Budha occupies house-12 = the main theatrical stage of this marriage would be a foreign country, meditation center, hospital, monastery, or other sanctuary.

If Venus be positedin his own Rashi or in Mithuna, the native will be infatuated by love.

Timing of Marriage:

  • Shukra/Rahu

    • Shukra and Rahu are both karakas for marriage
    • Rahu in Thulanavamsha gives material effect through radix Shukra, bringing marriage
  • Gochara Rahu/Ketu crossed Makara/Karka

Separation:

Separation is a phase in divorce. Some separations are partial, with occasional socializing and perhaps reconciliation; others are complete and the partner is felt to be "dead".

In this case in the period of L-12, animosity between the spouses = period of 6th-from-7th = Budha. The separation was not hostile. Spouse's unresolved health and debt problems, again 6th-from-7th, were a major cause of animosity.

In cases where separation is absolute and the divorce = spousal death, a bhukti of L-8 or L-2 would be expected.

Marital separation if sincere = a major change of psychic identity, therefore a nodal transit to one of the five key marriage points would be expected.

  • Shukra/Budha period where Budha is L-12, showing animosity between
  • Rahu/Ketu transiting Dhanau/Mithuna = navamsha lagna

Divorce:

Physical separation may occur many years before the legal divorce.

Divorce = a major change of identity, therefore a nodal transit to one of the five key marriage points would be expected.

  • Surya/ Rahu/Ketu crossed Meena/Kanya, axis of radix Chandra

Prognosis for second marriage:

Timing of second marriage occurs with the same key markers as 1st marriage:

  1. bhukti of L-1 or L-7 navamsha, Shani, Shukra, or Rahu-Ketu.
  2. Nodes particularly encourage marriage when they give the effect of L-1 or L-7 navamsha.
  3. Gochara Rahu-Ketu must transit natal nodal axis of D-1 or D-9; lagna of D-1 or D-9; or axis of radix or navamsha Moon.
This native has re-marriage opportunities in the Chandra-Rahu period, July-2010 until Dec-2011.

During this period, gochara Rahu will be passing through Dhanau and Vrischika, crossing the navamsha lagna (mithuna-dhanau) and creating a nodal-return in the radix nativity.

Many factors point to Rahu.

  • Following B.V. Raman's instructions below, since no graha occupy bhava-7, take associates of Shani for a female second marriage. Rahu is the associate of Shani.
  • Native's first marriage occurred in Shukra/Rahu period;
  • Rahu in a navamsha of Shukra, is empowered for marriage.
  • in bhava-2 (second marriage), Rahu casts "sudden desires" drishti upon Chandra, Ketu in bhava-8 (hidden, intuitive wealth-knowledge), and bhava-10 (public standing).
  • in bhava-2, Rahu gives amplified expression to YogakarakaL-4+L-5 Shani's agenda for emotional and physical security (4) and fame or children (5).

Radix Conditions for the second marriage :

  • Radix L-2 Kuja in bhava-5, 4th-from-swakshetra And in parivartamsha with Mangala's lord Shani =neutral-to-favorable for second marriage.
  • Two malefics - L-2+L-7 Kuja in parivartamsha with L-4+L-5 Shani -- may be good for wealth (L-2 + L-5) if the partners have the wisdom of age to manage this package.
  • Kuja's lord = YogakarakaL-4+L-5 Shani. The second spouse may be in the recycling industry, mining, or harvesting of secret or hidden materials.

"Q:

From which house or planet do you predict a second marriage?

A:

  • Venus and the 7th house indicate marriage.

  • If you are sure that the first will either die or separate from the husband, take the planets in the 7th or associated with Venus.

  • The strongest will determine the second wife.

  • In a female horoscope, take Saturn in the place of Venus (Prasna Marga).

  • Some authors want us to read the 11th house and this may also be adopted."

~~ B.V. Raman, A Catechism of Astrology, Q. 111

Navamsha condition for second marriage:

  • navamsha L-2 = Chandra
  • Within D-9, neechcha Chandra= emotional and physical health imbalance, emerging from toxicity of repressed anger.
  • Navamsha Chandra expresses on the material level through Soma's lord Kuja, suggesting a long history of family emotional issues reworked through the second marriage

May all beings venerate life as a state of deep spiritual intimacy.
