Divorce 5 Charles and Diana High-conflict, with Children See Detailed navamsha timing analysis for Charles' first & second marriages Diana herself provided a birth time of 2pm.  I use a 13:56 hrs birth time for Diana, DST =1 Rectified to13:56 hrs, 2pm allows dasha dates & nodes to coordinate as expected. This world-famous couple enjoyed luxurious wealth & public acclaim.   Their marriage on 29-July-1981 was an international media event, attended by celebrities and dignitaries from all the world's major nations.  750 million people watched their wedding. Formal separation leading to divorce 9-Dec-1992 Dasha/bhukti periods & gochara Rahu-Ketu for first marriage: Charles: Chandra/Guru; Guru is marriage-activated navamsha L-7 gochara Rahu-Ketu in Karka/Makara crossing D-9 nodes AND radix lagna Diana: Rahu/Chandra; Chandra is L-1 navamsha gochara Rahu-Ketu in Karka/Makara crossing  Dasha/bhukti in effect at time of separation: Charles: Kuja/Ketu - where Ketu gives effect of neechha L-2 Surya  (legal divorce in Rahu/Rahu) Diana: Rahu/Shukra; Shukra = L-2  (legal divorce in Rahu/Kuja; Kuja = L-8) They produced two beautiful children, led charitable campaigns to improve lives of the less fortunate, took magnificent holidays, and otherwise appeared to enjoy an entirely charmed life. Legal divorce decree & the complete reengineering of Charles' life occurred later in  Rahu/Rahu .  Rahu occupies the 10th house of public dignity, forcing a major transformation of Charles' previous public "packaging". Rahu gives the highly positive results of his lord yogakaraka Mangala who is very strong in swakshetra in the house of children.  Rahu amplifies the Moon which both L-1 and karaka for mother.  Charles asserted a new identity, becoming a hands-on single parent, again confronting the parenting style of having the children raised by servants which had been imposed by his mother. Rahu/Rahu caused very profound changes, including Charles taking on (for the first time) true parenting (swakshetra Mars in house of children) and announcing his humanity as a lover (lagnesha Chandra) without being intimidated by Buckingham Palace or world opinion.  To say nothing of triumphing over his controlling mother (Chandra) with Rahu's catastrophic powers of tumultuous, unstoppable change. Rahu/Rahu caused very profound changes, including Charles taking on (for the first time) true parenting (swakshetra Mars in house of children) and announcing his humanity as a lover (lagnesha Chandra) without being intimidated by Buckingham Palace or world opinion.  To say nothing of triumphing over his controlling mother (Chandra) with Rahu's catastrophic powers of tumultuous, unstoppable change. One of the best Jyotisha methods to evaluate a person's true attitude expectations regarding a matter (which expectations will self-fulfill unless consciously interrupted) is to  locate the ruler of the radix house in question,  find that lord's navamsha position & the lord of that navamsha position,  then return to the radix chart, and view the behavior of that navamsha lord. By this method we can interpret the psychology of subconscious knowledge (intuition, "dharma", presumption, subconscious patterns from childhood or past lives etc.) "playing out" in conscious action. Use this method to reveal the layer of subconscious programming which brings our mate. (Whether "attracted" by love or "arranged" by family, the mate will arrive!).  Charles' lord of house-7 is Shani.  (See Parashara's observations on Makara lagna that Cancer rising is rarely happy in marriage, due to Shani being L-7.) Shani occupies Karka navamsha.  So we return to radix Moon, to see this individual's motive and compulsive behaviors in marriage.   Radix Chandra in Ashwini, within 3 degrees of Rahu, is very volatile.  The mother controls the marriage; the native reacts to that control by breaking taboo (Rahu). Compare for Charles the core expectations driving second marriage: L-2 Surya occupies Mithuna navamsha.   Return to radix Budha to see the subconsciously driven materialization. Budha is weakened by proximity to fallen Sun (immorality, irrationality) and Ketu.  Behari says "Mercury makes you intelligent, but does not provide the necessary conveniences. You are surrounded by unfriendly relatives, and your health, both physical and psychological, suffer from involvement in unethical relationships." The public story is well-known.  However, Budha has lasting marital dignity as lord of navamsha. In fact, Charles and Camilla remarried (9-April-2005) during Charles' Rahu/Budha period. For Diana, the difference between the 13:56 pm birth time which I am using versus the 19:45 pm found in most books, is crucial.   In the 13:56 chart, L-7 is Guru, who occupies Mesha navamsha. The 12th-house combination of Kuja yuti Rahu in Simha, thus becomes the indicator for her deepest psychological expectations. Essentially this Kuja position displays repressed anger & risk-taking, the psychological underpinnings of her spouse which trigger her own psycho-emotional drama. (The public story of high drama, betrayal & counter-betrayal, sexual risk with male servants, compulsive skin cutting, bulimia, etc, is much better represented in Diana's chart by the willful & aggressive but severely repressed anger of Mars in house-12, than would be the 19:45 alternative - the kindly but incompetent fallen Guru, yuti a sad but dignified Makara Shani.) (Because Diana's radix L-2 Shukra occupies a navamsha of Shani, forecast for her second marriage would have followed the character of fallen Guru.) Timing of Charles' (public) second marriage to Camilla Parker-Bowles follows the rules: Rahu/Ketu transiting Pisces/Virgo, his navamsha lagna & radix Shukra Rahu/Budha period, where Budha is the marriage-activated L-1 navamsha (This is the accepted 19:45 birth time issued by Sandringham) May all beings venerate life as a state of deep spiritual intimacy.
