Gem recommendation based on the Jyotisha nativity of Shakira

1. Surya = lord of Ripu bhava, in Makara rashi  ; in 7^th-from-Chandra;

• Receiving Parashari drishti of Chandra and Shani; in company of L-2/L-9 Mangala. 

• Lord of 2nd-from-Chandra. Unless the L-6 is also the ruler of another, more auspicious house (and Surya rules only one house, so this is not possible) it is not beneficial to strengthen L-6. Much arguing with friends. 

• Marriage is harmed due to Rahu in 8 while the weakened Surya = 7th navamsha.

• Ruby = Ravi-ratna = is not recommended.

2. Chandra = L-5, occupying domain-5 swakshetra in Karkata; Punarvasu nakshatra (a wise and fertile Moon), 

• Severely oppressed by L-11/L-12 Shani who is L-7/L-8 from Soma.

• Receiving  Parashari drishti from uchcha Mangala and from L-6 Makara Surya..

• Chandra Mangala Yoga, very powerful in 11-5 axis and both Chandra and Mangala in highly auspicious rashi.

• A very complex, productive, and emotionally demanding lifestyle with performance art structured and professionalized beginning right from childhood.

• Tremendous income, political involvement, wealth for life but all at the price of heavy workload and responsibility to uphold a higher standard.

• L-5 in 5 is exceptionally blessed with creativity and the ability to channel divine intelligence.

• Moti or Vedic pearl is recommended to support this extraordinarily demanding and extraordinarily productive situation.

3. Uchcha Mangala = wealth-bringing L-2/L-9 from Meena lagna and yogakaraka L-5/L-10 from-Chandra.

• Drishti of Chandra and Shani. Mangala is an extraordinarily powerful graha in this nativity.

• Kuja grants sustained output of physical vitality. Endurance, structured and disciplined (from the Shani drishti).

• 11 = expression of that vitality in the setting of large gatherings (concerts and festivals) and Kuja is greatly gainful financially in that corporate business enterprise.

• Mangala = L-=10 navamsha = career based in competitive, sexualized, muscular strength.

• Mangala does have to cope with the proximity of the L-6 Surya, and pairing does suggest that friends will sometimes become enemies.

• Overall however periods of Mangala will be remarkably productive and successful in all creative and commercial ventures.

• This woman has a long future in the public eye; she is capable of guiding mass movements; and she may become an important political figure in the period of Chandra. 

• Mangala-ratna (flawless Coral) is enthusiastically recommended.  Chandra-Mangala period will be extraordinary.

4. Budha =  L-4 and L-7 from Meena lagna; L- 3 and L-12 from the Karkata Chandra.  

• incoming drishti from Guru. In occupation of the Karakamsha = karma bhava; also in 10th navamsha with Rahu. There will be an exceptional public career in a communicative specialty of Budha, the talker-singer-gesticulator.

• Budha is the custodian of consulting and advising relationships for the Meena native; despite the non-trinal qualities of Budha (kendra adhipati dosha) a kendra lord in occupation of a kendra is quite auspicious.

• The native may become exceptional well-known and respected. The nature of the message one brings or the instructions one delivers is strongly influenced by wise, philosophical Guru with spiritualistic Ketu.

• The Budha-strengthening emerald is not recommended. Exception: during periods of Budha, emerald can be worn to promote consulting-advising relationships, business partnership and professional career. (native's age 21-38)

According to Dr. G. S. Kapoor. (1994). Gems and Astrology. Ranjan Publications, New Delhi. p. 103 :

• "Mercury is lord of the 4th and 7th houses. Here also on account of ownership of two Kendras Mercury suffers from Kendra-adhipati dosha. Still if Mercury is in his own sign in the 4th or 7th or be in the 2nd, 5th, 9th, 10th or 11th houses, emerald can be worn with profit in the major and sub-periods of Mercury. "

5. Atmakaraka Guru = the auspicious lagnesha, lord of domain 1 and domain-10 from Meena lagna = public rank and respect. 

• Lord of 6 and 9 from  Karkata Chandra. Incoming drishti from Rahu, Shani, and uchcha Kuja.

• The native is hardworking to the point of feeling driven. Ketu periods may bring exhaustion and withdrawal, seeking sanctuary to recharge the psychic batteries.

• In 2nd-from lagna and 10^th-from Chandra. Lord of 10th from lagna occupies 10th from Chandra = extraordinary career.

•  The Pukhraj (yellow sapphire) to support lagnesha Guru, is advised.

Caution:

Pukhraj, if worn, must be separated from Shani-ratna, Budha-Ratna, and Shukra-ratna; e.g. if the stones for Saturn, Venus, or Budha are worn as rings, the Guru-ratna could be worn as a pendant. However it is generally better to remove all of the "cold group" (blue-white-green) before wearing any from the "hot group" (yellow-orange-red).

6. Shukra = lord of sahaja and randhra bhava; L-4 and L-11 from  Karkata Chandra. Receiving no Parashari dristhi.

• Shukra is a highly inauspicious graha for this nativity; nevertheless Shukra gains dignity in lagna.

• Due to Rahu in 8, there is a regular pattern of secret relationship bonding which is not necessarily harmful to the overall quality of life.

• In fact, the material outcome is of the highest order of luxury; one is accepted into the world of admired and praised artists and musicians who live in by protection of the Muse.

• Nevertheless one has a need to live, work, and love largely in a secretive, tantrik, and magical (appear-disappear) fashion.

•  An uchcha graha does not need to be strengthened unless it receives hostile drishti. I do not recommend the Shukra-ratna, white sapphire (diamond) .

7. Shani = L-11 and L-12 from Meena lagna; L-7 and L-8 from  Karkata Chandra.  

• Incoming drishti of Mangala and Surya. Yuti Chandra.  Lord of the uchcha Mangala who is L-10 in navamsha (career). 

• Shani owns and casts drishti upon domain-11 for gains of income, marketplace connections, dealing with very large groups of people; social movements; and achievement of personal goals.

• All of these tasks will be successfully accomplished with discipline, emotional repression (which is necessary to prevent self-indulgence); and on a slow and steady basis showing respect to tradition, the elders, and limiting or preventing the birth of children.

• Shani does not rule any trine nor does Shani rule favorable bhava counted from the Moon.

• It is not recommended to wear the Blue Sapphire for Shani.

8. Rahu = domain-8, 4th-from-Chandra, lord = Shukra but Rahu occupies 6/8 from Shukra. Incoming drishti from Guru the Expander.

• Rahu will give strongest amplification to Shukra, and emphasize the hidden, forbidden, secret, and magical qualities of the native's appearance and style.

• No need to emphasize the power of Rahu in  the self-destructive eighth house.

• No Gomedha is recommended.

9. Ketu = in radix domain-2, 10th-from-Chandra, lord = uchcha Mangala.

• Ketu grants a mystical quality to career (10) and casts a permissive energy upon the fleshly appearance (1).  It is rare to recommend the Ketu-ratna and in this case Ketu is as per normal not advised.

• Vaidurya, the cat’s eye Chrysoberyl for Ketu, is not recommended.
