Surya in Meena

Surya in swabhava of Ravi's neutral Budha radiates detailed, descriptive, mentalized (Budha) personal charisma (Surya)in the communicative crafts of

  • mercantile announcements, business administration, commercial transactions,

  • films, audio-video, broadcast journalism, messaging, advertising, marketing, communications-media professions

  • duplication of imagery, making many copies of a message such as a musical recording, filmed narrative, product advertising, book publishing

creative, center-stage roles as

  • messenger, writer, evangelist

One exists in the dramatic center of :

writing, film production, planning, schedules, publishing, media programming, journalism, media products, information technology, reports and announcements

communications-based behaviors, matters of meetings, agenda, production schedules, event-planning, correspondence, reports, seminars, media packaging, project management, writing, journalism, publications, commerce.

  • Whether more specialized toward team-mates, collaborators, or siblings depends upon rashi, drishti, and co-tenants of bhava-3.

Ego-identified with making attending conferences, giving instructions, writing, publications, messages, delivering information.

Excellent position =

Surya's self-importance 'burns up' the sibling relationships and individualizes the mental process. The father may be overly talkative.

Native excels in more public forms of communication, such as commercial media (television, radio, internet, films, magazines, books.) Prefers to gain recognition in a commercial environment.

Radiant Messaging.

Evangelical personality with a special gift for unconventional (anti-Shani) business topics or practices.

Teamwork and administration.

Puts the stamp of his individual viewpoint upon his reports: thus, makes a good inspector, evaluator, examiner, competency tester, etc. Not a creative person but one who prefers to judge and evaluate matters of repeating, daily business and professional practice. Assists the acquisition of self-made wealth.

  • industrialist, journalist, philanthropist Andrew Carnegie worked most closely with his sibling Thomas who was his financial adviser handling millions of investments. Carnegie never left his coterie wondering about his plans and intentions: he was highly skilled at keeping his "insider trading" colleagues within the messaging loop

  • One seeks praise and recognition for the qualities of one's story-telling narrative . Includes all communications behaviors: writing, conversations, public announcements, publications, media production.

Leadership and established ego identity in business administration, publications, social discussions, meetings, conferences, journalism and speech, writing and media communications.

  • dramatist, dancer Ginger Rogers = 73 films, 73 promotional campaigns, television, radio, live stage

Surya-3 = a central figure within one's own work-group, team, or ensemble.

Needs social recognition for their mental abilities such as memorization or articulated problem-solving.

If Surya is dignified, excellent for leadership in communications industry, reports, plans and meetings. Likes attending conventions, business trips, writings and publications. Signifies a business manager, or if with Budha an analyst.

Repetitive thought patterns center on political and theatrical matters: self definition, individual in society, higher law, divine intelligence, truth.

Talks about ethics and group consensus, but may bend the moral rules for personal advantage.

Surya's rashi and drishti to Ravi will determine the messaging style.

  • Strong = manu-facture of objects of philosophical reasoning through the craft of the hands

Father

Typically a commercial businessperson, concerned with day-to-day matters of transaction and publication. May be a promoter, an advertiser, a marketer, transactions manager, signaler, telegrapher, scribe, or announcer.

May be a communications specialist in the place of work, such as trade union representative or human resources clerk. Also skill in packaging and the documentation of goods transport, such as letters of credit and bills of lading. May be especially skilled in making reports and announcements.

  • USA Senator Teddy Kennedy's father was a commercial shipper, whose fortune was built on the documented daily transactions of goods in the New England ports.
  • Karl Marx 's father was a small businessman, in Germany's petite bourgeois class.
Believe it or not, Rahu-Surya-Budha in a rashi of Shani in bhava-3 can show an ego attachment to being depressed. Plenty of people get absolutely stuck in a mental victim state and simply refuse to release their suffering due to ego attachment to the pain. They get attached to racial discrimination, having a handicap, being raised poor, alcoholic parents – you name it. Their constant litany is 100 reasons why life isn’t working for them. Sounds crazy and it is indeed the very definition of crazy, but that is your task.

During Shani periods one must by sheer force of will (Ravi) pry oneself away from the self-replicating narratives (bhava-3) of social invalidation (weak Surya) and depression.

There are dozens of modern non-invasive technologies that can help alleviate depression. Bach Flower Remedies are my personal favorites. However NONE of these remedies will be in the least effective if the person is ego-attached to negative validation that is granted to one who attaches to the victim state.

And BTW this is typically a family affair because Ravi indicates the father. Therefore psychically one is attempting, probably with pure intention, to validate the father's failures and his low self esteem resulting from lack of recognized public standing. It is not necessary to repeat the father's failures in order to show him respect and gratitude for having raised you.

You have the meditation skills to do this work. It is WORK. However it will succeed due to your overall high levels of rational intelligence. Quitting addiction to depression is like quitting addiction to any drug.

Depressive narratives put the brain into a comfortably miserable state by running a familiar loop of repeating sad ideas related to disappointment, loss, grief, and sorrow. One will be permitted to keep running that loop if one continually asserts the right (Ravi) to run than loop ... but the results will be very predictable.

Bright Light in 3

siblings and team mates may be overwhelmed by the brightness of one's celebrity aura, making the native seem egoistic in meetings and small-group cooperative process.

Unfavorable for small-group mechanism as it limits the native's ability to praise his team-mates or indeed to see things from another's point of view. One is bright, brilliant, bubbling with creative schemes for messaging and media production. Yet the intelligent thinking of other team-mates may remain the the shadow of one's own ego.

As always, Surya as a malefic does well in upachaya and dushthamsha Bhava.

  • If Surya furthermore should occupy a rashi of Shani or Shukra, much of the blinding brilliance is reduced. One may not be a patient or cooperative listener, but one's egoism does not run so rampant when Ravi is constrained in an enemy's sign.

bhava-3 extends the speech and money values of bhava-2 from the historic and lineage-based into the realm of the personal (thus bhava-3 = self-made wealth.) Charismatic center of attention in personal speech and hearing, as well as styles of writing/media/communication.

Surya-3 is a better placement for media like television, radio, and internet audio-video performance where the native's own image (Surya) can be identified individually. It is less helpful for writing where the words must speak for themselves, and the visual (Surya) image of the creative author is less well known.

Best in films, television, any video-visual communications image - so long as the staff understands that the entire production has one and only one central personality: the star!

Das / Behari of Surya in 3:

"...generally destroys harmony with ones siblings.

This is because you have universal interests, and cannot therefore focus on the things your brothers and sisters, while you matured, focused on.

  • You have wider vision .

    • This may cause you to leave the nest you grew up with, in terms of consciousness.

  • This Sun also gives you diligence, perseverance, forbearance, culture, perfection, etc.

You like cultured partners, but this Sun gives distaste for sex in general.

  • You are fond of high-minded associations, or the rich. ... makes you strong and glorious.

  • You suffer at the hands of your equals, brothers or associates.

    • The elder brother or sister may shine in some way if there is one.

You may go on holy pilgrimage.

    • You tend to prevail when confronted.

    • This Sun is a good one, making you healthy, wealthy and wise.

It adds to being liked by others, kind, modest and a leader.

    • ... causes trouble to the brothers and sisters, or there are none, especially elder brothers may be lacking.

It adds to being liked and good looking, and a conqueror.

    • It also helps with success in litigation, intelligence, wealth, fame, eloquence and sickness."
