This
beautiful young woman was born with cerebral palsy, almost total deafness,
and some
reduced cognitive function. face="Georgia">
Born with Magha Nakshatra in lagna, she has elegance and dignity. She is a social
leader within her deaf community.
-
The native is eldest of four siblings;
Chandra = Jyestha for eldest and
also doing things stubbornly in one's own way.
-
Her Jyestha stubbornness has benefitted
this young woman. She exhibits fierce
resistance to prejudice and limitation, making her a natural leader.
-
Yet
she has also resisted most assimilation training (such as lip reading) and
most medical help toward resolving her chronic body pain. She also
resisted medical care for her first, toxemic pregnancy, and lost her baby
shortly thereafter.
-
The father's Chandra = Mula
= damage to the first child. As displayed in bhava-9, this young woman
has a dramatic and angry relationship with her father ( karako
bhavo nashto) but he is nevertheless her primary parent.
-
The mother abandoned her at the child's
age of five.

With therapeutic help and a child's fierce determination, she learned
to walk near the time of kindergarten.
Learning disabilities (and the proud Magha
lagna!) have made formal schooling enormously
challenging for her. Nevertheless, and despite medical pessimism, she became a capable,
limping walker.
-
Sign language (bhava-3): Very fluent
and vivid American Sign Language gestural signer
(Shukra/bhava-3). However the range of life experience that can be
communicated is highly emotional, reactive, and personalized (Shukra
complex in bhava-9). Not a conceptual thinker but charming, adolescent,
and religious-minded. Very limited decision-making capabilities and will
not accept advice even from the ASL community.
-
Speech (bhava-2): Outside the world
of ASL, her dominant communicative tool remains a guttural, incoherent speech. She can hear only very low tones, below
the range of normal human hearing. However as typical for fluent ASL
communicators she is not much concerned with non-deaf interaction, and her text-message device is running 24/7.
-
Her teeth are badly twisted
(bhava-2), and she
walks with a pronounced limp Ketu/ Shravana/6)
due to pelvic imbalance. She suffers
Migraine headaches with bouts of nausea and blindness. Poor bone
structure of the skull and jaw are implicated, but the native refuses
corrective treatment.
-
Chronic eating disorder (bhava-2,
also Ketu in bhava-6) which creates malnutrition that exacerbates mood swings, and further reduces her attention span. When
in a good mood she is the jewel of her family. However, when
unhappy, she has an evil temper.
As an adult, this young woman is remarkably pretty, friendly,
and passionate. Despite her material poverty and chronic illness she maintains an
active social life. She is romantic, forms love relationships quickly, loves parties, and remarkably photogenic (Shukra, + lord of Arudha lagna =
Guru, and Guru is favorable in navamsha).
The usual disease suspects in Jyotisha are:
-
L-6 for medically recognized illness [and Grahayuti L-6] =
Shani -- also, 6th-from-Chandra
-
L-8for hidden illness = Guru
-
L-12for addictions = Chandra
-
L-3for mental health disorders = Shukra
-
lord of Trimshamsha = Shani
(L-30 lord Shani Occupies radix house-2 for speech
and hearing)
Which
Planets suggest Cerebral Palsy, deafness, and/or reduced cognitive capability?
Both L-2+L11 Budha, and L-6 Shani who is also Lord of Trimshamsha:
Native born in Budha/Shaniperiod, where Shani
has some seriously malefic assignments:
-
radix L-6
-
lord of Trimshamsha
-
L-6 Shani brings his oppressive karmic force to dhana
bhava the house of speech . (House-2 contains the primal
senses, with special emphasis on speech, hearing, taste and sight.)
-
Shani is yuti in the house of speech and hearing, with L-8
Guru
-
Shani is fallen with Ketu in navamsha,
suggesting that native's spouse will have similar very health condition (her
husband is also deaf).
In addition to a personality disorder along
the "oppositional-defiant" continuum, this native suffers a lifelong gastro-intestinal disorder.
She steadfastly avoids drinking water (of which she hates the taste). In substitution
for water, she drinks several liters per day of carbonated "cola"
drink. She has a compulsive taste for high-salt,
high-fat "junk" foods.Constipation with wrenching abdominal
pain, malnutrition, and violent mood swings are the result.
Behari says of Shani in the first padaa of Hasta Nakshatra :
" ... You may suffer from severe bowel problems that
can easily be controlled by proper diet."
"... Rahu or Ketu in Ari Bhava[house-6] or Randhra Bhava [house-8] will cause stomachic disorders."

Shani also has another important role in
that He leads us to the native's subconscious expectations
of financial,
moral, and physical imbalance will be in this life. Shani occupies Mesha
navamsha, which means that her deepest expectations
(rarely conscious) of how
conflict will manifest in this life, express most vividly through radix Mesha
Mars.
Swakshetra Kuja in dharma bhava is not good
for the father (with whom she has a volatile but trusting relationship Kuja
resides with Shukra, Budha, and Surya) but it may be good for a simple and
direct religious conviction based on swift action and very basic truths
of life.
Most importantly for health, Kuja/Mesha
gives vigorous investment in the physical body. Whatever the suffering
of her various disabilities, this native is plucky and possesses a strong will
to continue to energize her body. We cannot forget that Kuja, Budha, and
Shukra are all combust; and that uchcha Surya is not helpful in this pada.
Das says, "You may be wealthy but will be placed very low in life. Health will be poor. At certain times you become violent and wicked."
She is extremely headstrong. However the will to survive is
awesome.
L-2+L-11 Budha:
Budha rules cognitive function.
face="Georgia">
L-6 Shani and L-8 Guru join again in Trimshamsha, in the same
Budha-ruled radix sign,
Note that Dhana-sthana's lord Budha, who rules speech and wealth
in this radix, is
severely reduced in Shad Bala -->>
L-2 Budha is also combust.htm">
combustwhich harms wealth.
There will be penury right from birth and the native will
have to beg for his food if the lords of Dhana and Labha Bhavaare both
combustor with malefics.

Bhava" Shloka 7 in "Yogas for Poverty"

However, Budha is
auspiciously located in the all-good
dharma bhava.
Budha will do some good! When mood swings
and physical ailments do not prevent her socializing, the native attends a
Christian Deaf Church with has a wonderfully supportive devotional community.
One benefit of L-11 who rules social networks,
when He occupies the
auspicious 9th, is that this young woman is blessed by a large friendship network.
Her 9th house is very strong indeed.
Also, Budha as 2nd-lord in 9th gives some benefits despite the
crippling effect of L-6 and L-8 yuti in the speech/wealth house, in
inhospitable Kanya rashi where neither Shani nor Guru are content.
She
has received a quality survival-skills education and has always been able to pool her
subsistence income with others in her community, in order to live independently.
Ketu Mahadashaprovided Adifficult youth for this native.
-
Ketu occupies Ari bhava, the house of animosity and disease.
-
Ketu gives the results of its lord, Shani
-
Shani is yuti with L-8 Guru
-
Guru brings from the Pandora's Box of randhra bhava, all manner of hidden
obstacles
-
Shani rules the bones, the skeleton, and structured behaviors of all kinds.
Native devoted the entire Ketu Mahadashato the agonizing process of learning
to walk with cerebral palsy. Balancing her disordered bone structure with
crutches and braces, she finally achieved an independent gait with small limp.
Despite ongoing balance issues she became, by the final bhukti of Ketu, a competent
walker.

Shukra Mahadasha
L-3+L-10 Shukra is a fairly good planet for this native.
Shukra is lord of her 10th
house of public responsibilities and her 3rd house of communications.
During the first part of Venus mahadasha,
native attended an excellent school for the deaf where she achieved very high
ASL communication skills (L-3) was happy and
popular.
Under Shukra's benefic influence, she gained a substantial American Sign Language vocabulary, learned public
behavior skills, and formed sibling-type bonds (house-3) with many fellow
students.
Like most people with Venus close to the Sun, she is very
pretty. Her romantic life has been vivid and full. However, due to the
combustMars she has a fierce temper!
Future predictions:
Forthcoming mahadasha ofL-1 Suryain
dharma will give excellent results overall. Her increased stubbornness will not
please her father, but she will hardly be disturbed by this complaint. Her
missionary instincts will surface. (Her father at the time of her birth
was a religious missionary, although he shortly quit that religion's narrow
strictures.) Surya also rises in navamsha, as L-11 there, suggesting good
fortune for the spouse.
All future periods of Shaniwill be notably
difficult for this lovely young woman.
-
Shukra/Shaniwhich at time of writing has nearly passed, brought severe gastro-intestinal
illness and poverty consistent with the 6/8 angle between mahadasha-pati Shukra
and the highly malefic L-6/Trimshamsha lord Shani.
-
Budha periods which
always follow Shani periods will always bring improvement, but never complete
improvement because Budha is the very low-powered lord of L-6 Shani / L-8 Guru
in both radix and D-30.
-
Shukra/Budhawill be easier than preceding Shukra/Shani but Budha's role as the crippled L-2
suggests the improvement is moving from dire poverty to subsistence earnings, or
some other form of slightly improved wealth.
-
Marriage is predicted in the era of Venus/Mercury,
where Budha is L-1 navamsha, during the 18-month overlapping period of Rahu/Ketu
transiting through Leo/Aquarius. Radix L-7 Shani is fallen with Ketu in
navamsha, suggesting that the spouse is also disabled and that the relationship
is troubled by confusion and poor communication. Nevertheless Venus
mahadasha brings substantial happiness.
-
Shukra/Ketualthough physically challenging because Ketu occupies house-6 of disease, is
nevertheless a publicly-validated period of leadership recognition when she will
be acknowledged for her ability to network and inspire in her community.
-
Surya/Shani,
Surya/Guru and Surya/Chandra will both be particularly difficult.
-
First of all, Shani is
L-6, Guru is L-8, and Chandra is L-12.
-
But also very
importantly these three trouble-makers occupy a malefic 6/8 angle to Surya in
the radix.
-
Surya/Shukragives happiness.
