Lung Infection, Blood Disease, Acute Pneumonia, Spinal Trauma

L-7/L-12 in house-8 creates & resolves deadly emergencies

In spring 1976, native was best with a sudden high fever and lung infection, never medically diagnosed.  Living in poverty, she received no medical treatment. She lay in semi-consciousness for several days of high fever & labored breathing.  Native reports that intuitively, she sensed that fever & mucus-filled lungs would be the cause of her death.  However, recovery from this acute condition was quick (native was a young college-age woman). Within a month she was back at work.

The infection recurred in the winter holidays at the end of 1976.  Extreme high fever with delirium; influenza; wracking cough.  Living in poverty, she received no medical treatment.  After about a week the infection was burned off via fever, and the native resumed her previous lifestyle.

In spring 1983, native suffered a near-fatal year-long blood disease while traveling in foreign lands.  She solicited medical advice but six separate physicians were unable to diagnose.  The unknown fevers "pyrexia ignosa" caused a great swelling of the liver, & severe malnutrition, followed by two years of exhaustion.  However, she recovered - and experienced excellent health for many years.

In early winter 2002, a brief but life-threatening crisis starting with acute bronchitis which advanced to mycoplasmic pneumonia.  Living in poverty, she received no medical treatment. The pneumonia very suddenly progressed to a lethal stage, but was corrected with emergency care accorded the poor in her country.

In spring 2002, only a few months later, native experienced spinal trauma which created temporary blindness, temporary paralysis & severe nerve pain. However this condition too, although completely debilitating in the short term of three months, was resolved completely.  Native proceeded to enjoy excellent health afterwards.

Aside from the exigencies of childbirth, this native has experienced no other medical events.

What is the common factor in these acute, life-threatening disease events?

There is no long-lasting, chronic disease in these events.  Although they are life-threatening, they are of remarkably short duration.

They qualify as "emergencies" rather than chronic or debilitating disease conditions.  "Emergencies" which have death-energy but induce their own healing, are the province of a remarkable maraka  L-7 which occupies intensive-healing house-8.

Planets in house-12 are dissolved.  Planets in house-2 are nourished.  As a general rule, planets which occupy house-8, are destroyed - or more accurately, their basic, natural effects are transformed into a higher level of expression.

Shukra is a serious maraka and empowered toward his goals by his uccha dispositor Budha in a kendra from Shukra.  Shukra is strong. (See shad bala.)  But Shukra's base death powers are transmuted through Shukra's residence in house-8, into a rebirth, after each crisis.

helt2_dasha.gifFirst health crisis = deadly "flu"

  • Ketu/Ketu, where Ketu gives the effect of Shukra

  • Ketu also occupies the makara 7th house

  • Shukra & Ketu are also yuti in navamsha

  • Shukra is L-7 a natural maraka, L-12 for hospitalization/enclosure (L-12 effects include being home-bound) & Shukra is lord of Trimshamsha

  • Shukra also occupies house-8 of emergencies

  • Infection recurs during Ketu/Shukra - same logic, Shukra

Second health crisis:

  • Shukra/Shukra period

Extremely dangerous liver disease (diagnosed as "schistomiasis" many years after the fact); medical opinion predicts death in the short term.  Liver is swollen beyond tolerance, and neither anti-malarial nor anti-bacterial medications are effective.

Shukra's maraka powers are extremely effective in the double period.

Frankly, this Jyotishi would have predicted death for the native, also.

However, the palm's life line suggests a modestly long life.

MOST IMPORTANTLY the navamsha lord of L-8 is Shani.  Therefore when we examine the native's subconscious or psychic motives for experiencing this acutely painful & frightening disease process, we note that Shani controls the "emergency" process for this native.

Shani is a karaka for ENDURANCE.  Therefore we speculate that this native has a subconscious need to "push the envelope" physically in order to clear away unnecessary debris from her lifestyle & re-set her priorities back to basics.

Shani is very much a survivor planet for this native, rising in Vrischika as L-3 for courage.

  • Rahu/Ketu in Sagittarius/Gemini  gochara Shukra - very intensifying for Shukra's maraka powers!

Third health crisis:

  • Shukra/Ketu period

  • Same forces at work, again. Pneumonia, followed shortly by spinal trauma.

Pneumonia resisted antibiotics.  The native lost 50% breathing capacity & needed bottled oxygen.  Her physicians feared the worst with an unknown drug-resistant pneumonia. Physicians unable to prescribe pain meds adequate against spinal trauma. It certainly did look like impending death.

  • Rahu/Ketu in Gemini/Sagittarius, [again!] gochara Shukra - very intensifying!

  • L-7 Shukra's death-inflicting capacity enhanced by Ketu who occupies radix-7; Shukra misfortune-inducing powers as lord of Trimshamsha again magnified by Ketu.

  • Same reasoning as the other crisis events: L-7 and D-30-lord Shukra does have maraka power.

  • But the overall longevity picture, enhanced by uccha Budha being L-8 with "survivor" Shani rising, is too strong for an early death.  And so the empowered L-7 Maraka & D-30 lord Shukra does a great imitation of death-imposer, without being fully authorized by the longevity-controlling L-8.

helt_ch2_D30.GIFPrognosis:

As maraka L-7, Shukra is a dangerous planet for this native.  As lord of Trimshamsha, Shukra is even more malicious.  Occupying randhra sthana gives Shukra additional power to cause sudden, inexplicable uprising from the native's subconscious.

But one of the attributes of occupying Randra bhava with his dispositor Budha exalted, is that Shukra also brings healing - usually, due to Mercury's speed, very quick healing.

The most malicious periods for Shukra:

  • double Shukra/Shukra

  • encore performance Shukra/Ketu

have now passed.

Upcoming periods of Surya/Shukra and Surya/Ketu pose much less threat because Surya is not Himself a maraka and Surya occupies favorable 3/11 from Shukra as well as a 4/10 angle from Ketu.

Rahu/Ketu should be in either Taurus/Scorpio (axis of natal Rahu/Ketu -and-D-30 lagna) to cause maximum disturbance.  Or, as above, Rahu/Ketu in Gemini/Sagittarius magnifies the power of Shukra's nativity in Gemini, and causes mayhem during simulatneous periods of Shukra or Ketu who gives the effects of Shukra.

Upcoming periods of Chandra/Shukra and Chandra/Ketu pose less threat because Chandra is the all-good 9th lord, and Chandra occupies favorable 4/10 angle from Shukra as well as a friendly 3/11 angle from Ketu.
