When the syllables are converted into the corresponding numbers, according to the general mode of transmutation so often alluded to in Mantra Shastra, the word in question will be represented by ////.
This sign then is evidently intended to represent the sacred Tetragram; the Parabrahma-dharaka; the Pranava resolved into four separate entities corresponding to its four Matras; the four Avasthas indicated by Jagrata (waking) Avastha, Swapna (dreaming) Avastha, Sushupti (deep sleep) Avastha, and Turiya (the last stage, i.e., Nirvana) Avastha (as yet in potentiality); the four states of Brahma called Vaiswanara, Taijasa (or Hiranyagarbha), Pragna, and Iswara, and represented by Brahma, Vishna, Maheswara, and Sadasiva; the four aspects of Parabrahma, as Sthula (gross), Sukshma (subtle), Vija (seed), and Sakshi (witness); the four stages or conditions of the Sacred Word, named Para, Pasyanti, Madhyama and Vaikhari; Nadam, Bindu, Sakti and Kala.

Generally sensitive folk with strong family feelings, they love their mother & their country. Tends toward a broader, softer face - but again, depends on the Moon.

The inspiration & consolation of Religion is easily accessible to Karka-lagna natives. However as always if Guru is compromised there may be less happiness in the dharma.
An easy faith arises in their lives, due partly to their privilege of staying within a religiously homogenous culture for most of their lives. Heart-centered, childlike faith. Karka natives have no desire to question their beliefs... they prefer to accept, with devotion, the inherited values of their family lineage.

The meditation and inner sanctuary house is somewhat disrupted by Budha's ceaseless chatter. Karka folk may never completely relax. Vyaya bhava is also the house of bed pleasures and other private sensual enclosures. Karka folk have a very active imagination but given their Shani-restricted 7th & 8th houses, bed pleasures might become overly mentalized.
Body-calming meditation and spa-type deep relaxation are too isolated for most Karka folks. Rather, given their love of family and friends, they prefer to relax in the sanctuary of the home, chatting by the fireside, or walking through ancestral properties.
Karka-lagna enjoys foreign travel and may, if Budha is strong, take up residence in a foreign land during Budha's periods. However Budha ruling house-12 means that the imagination engages the bodily senses. They will always long for the comforts of home and familiar sights, smells, and sounds.

There is a journalistic fascination with the negative psychology of other people's lives, which is not necessarily a bad thing for society (often makes healers, psychologists, occult authors) but this condition may deprive the individual of deep inner peace.
When lagnesha occupies the bhagya (fortunate) houses 1, 5, or 9, circumstances must be beneficial. Yet, the fallen Moon causes moodiness (to the extreme of bi-polarity), emotional implosion, and hostility in the family.
Vrischika Moon may press the native into a self-obsessive state that yields great scientific discoveries; works of penetrating art & literature; or transcendent tantric achievements. Yet the native pays a price of permanent inner turmoil.
Lagnesha Soma in Dhanishtha nakshatra in Randhra-sthana would bring the wealth always associated with Dhanishtha Moon, and in the 8th house [2nd-from-7th] we expect this wealth to come through the first spouse.

Ruling 2 dusthanas, Budha is not such a beneficial graha for Karkata lagna. Both day-to-day mentality and the meditative imagination are busy and superficial. Tends toward shallow thinking, unless Budha is superior or there are good occupants in domain-12. Can be an business success, but not a philosopher as a rule.
L-6, L-9
Ruling both the mega-dusthana domain-6 AND the mega-bhagya sthana domain-9, Brihaspati gives very mixed results for Karkata lagna.
If Guru is yuti lagnesha Chandra, the native is prone to mix sincere religion with deep corruption (see G.W. Bush).
Guru in domain-6 loves religious culture, but tends toward ostentatious show of social ceremony. Priestly energy is consumed with caring for the lower classes. The native is a sincere humanist who may be a wonderful teacher esp. of the underprivileged, but the circumstances of one's school or temple are full of conflict, illness, & debt. Overconfidence. Overspending on costume, trying to appear of higher rank. Diseases of overeating and misuse of religious funds.

Shukra is by & large a beneficial graha for Karka lagna, bringing sensual sweetness to education & 'roots' as well as large social networks and gainful market relationships. Loves their homeland and their income.
L-7, L-8
Shani controls marriage for Karkata. Of course this is not easy for the native. Much discipline and accepting lower status of the spouse, who may have strong Shani qualities of either common sense or stubbornness or both. Spouse tends to be older, & hails from a lower social class than the native. Partner enters the marriage already equipped with mature worldview, strong duty orientation, and usually some practical working skills.
However unless Shani is very well placed, the burdens of marriage upon the native are heavy. The spousal character is rigid & inflexible, with little room for growth or change in the marriage. "Take it or leave it" is typically the spouse's attitude toward intentional change.
Shani in domain-6 or domain-9 encourages religious sectarianism, great sense of duty in providing service to the sick & poor. A generous, if dogmatic, soul.
