Journalist, celebrity, wife, mother, literary editor, and philanthropist: Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy was an iconic woman. An entire generation of American women both idolized her and projected their jealousy and unfulfilled selves upon the ubiquitous photographic images of the young Mrs. Kennedy. Her dark, slender beauty; her privileged upbringing; her grace in tragedy; her extraordinary sense of fashion and entertainment; and her protective maternal instincts; all lived large in the national mind. Her marriages, both somewhat scandalous, both ended in widowhood.

She may also have anticipated pleasure from acquiring step-children through her second husband. But her decision turned out to be a mistake. The step-children were spoiled and unpleasant. Her budget was surprisingly limited. And her depressed Shani is very inauspicious in Mula, a nakshatra of Ketu. Her second husband married her for instrumental purposes also, mainly to increase his international social standing in order to join a global elite which would otherwise exclude him as a ruffian and Mafioso. In the exchange of an expedient marriage, Ms. Kennedy-Onassis did receive considerable material assets, although she was not given much access to Onassis' wealth until after he died. She was not included in the enormously wealthy second husband's will, and it was only due to the negotiations of the elder brother of her first husband (11th-from-7th-from-Chandra, the income-generating Kuja-Simha in her labha bhava) that she received a widow's settlement at all. The outcome was a level of wealth for the native which put her and her children firmly beyond the reach of want, securely established in a prestigious flat in New York City, but at the same time she did not end up with "money to burn".align="left"> The second husband was reputed to be verbally and emotionally abusive, promiscuous almost immediately after marriage, and contemptuous of both the native and her children. The complication is that he also needs almost infinite (Guru-expanded) attention from other exciting, dramatic, youthful-looking (Ashwini) women, as well. With the second spouse, the native (represented by Ashwini Chandra) has more the role of one lover amongst many lovers (Soma + Rahu = 5th from Shani) rather than as a wife in the traditional exclusive marriage contract. Both her Ashwini Moon and her second husband as represented by Mula Shani are Ketu-ruled players, suggesting a profound ambivalence of both parties toward the relationship. However there is some level of emotional engagement, however reactive: Shani in 9th-from-Chandra duplicates the emotional relationship of the native to her father, and undoubtedly this angle will also produce material benefits. There was, after all was said and done, a gain after her many travails of millions of dollars. Her emotions are highly unstable and dramatic in all marriages. Receiving the drishti of Rahu, Kuja is a virulent killer. Rahu also greatly amplifies the L-10 Chandra, magnifying the public reputation. He marriages are volatile, challenge cultural boundaries, highly gainful (L-2 Kuja in domain-11), world-famous. Both marriages ended with the death (maraka Kuja, lord of Rahu and lord of Chandra) of the husband. Rahu casts drishti upon Kuja, greatly amplifying Kuja's natural gainfulness (via deaths of course)

The second marriage appears to have been predominantly and strategically An alliance made on behalf of her children. Although the second marriage ended in death and not divorce, marital bliss from the second marriage was reported to have been brief if indeed it ever occurred. Onassis' quick return to his long-term love affair with Maria Callas was well publicized. Death of second spouse during Chandra bhukti is also an atypical planetary arrangement. It is configurable through invoking the lords of 2nd-house from the 2nd-marriage ruler (Kuja) and Ketu's passage through the death-of-2nd-spouse domain-3, but these angles reveal a rather abstract emotional and social impact of a husband's death upon the native. Mrs. Kennedy-Onassis' third relationship was not a legal marriage, but it may
have been a quite satisfactory partnership spiritually, because L-9 Budha (for

As a symptom

navamsha (intelligent but immoral women), the native's continuing troubles
with "the Other Woman" followed her into the third partnership. Her final live-in companion ofnearly 20 years remained married to his
first wife until the native's death.
However it is noted in the press that her companion very skillfully managed her
investment portfolios, which dramatically increased her personal fortune in the
latter part of life.

Despite the inauspicious nature of
Soma-yuti- neechcha-Shani in navamsha, there is much less problem
emotionally. Shani is not harmed by being with Chandra, only the reverse
is true. However neechcha Shani has His own problems from neechcha
standing, including psycho-emotional toxicity from ethnic dehumanization
or blood-hatred.
Material results of the spousal behavior are shown in
the radix. From the radix viewpoint, the third spouse is represented by
Dhanau-Shani in domain-3.
Shani is a highly stable yogakaraka graha
which gives good results after age 45 and very good after age 60.
Shani's pessimistic, constraining and delaying drishti upon domain-9 =
3rd marriage = agent for delay in ceremonial confirmation of 3rd
marriage.
