This wealthy, professional, and philanthropic couple are scions of highly-placed US government service families.  This marriage, the first for both parties, has survived for 2 decades and appears to be the final marriage for both.

They were raised within the same elite subculture and they share a set of core humanistic values.

College sweethearts, they married in middle age.

Dedicated to their elders & their community, they enjoy a relaxed lifestyle, & take pleasure in each other's company.

Dhanau lagna for both spouses means that they see each other, & they see the world, in very similar terms.

Highly auspicious Sun-Moon yoga:

When the male's Sun is in the same sign as the female's Moon, there is great goodwill & appreciation on both sides. The male feels a natural protective and supportive energy toward the female. This couple have excellent stability due to their fine Surya-Chandra yoga.

ch6_marr_part1_dasha1.GIFMarriage on schedule:

Female marriage timing:

  • Rahu/Budha period - where Budha = L-7 navamsha

  • Gochara Rahu/Ketu in Sagittarius/Gemini transit to radix & navamsha lagnas, radix Shukra

Male marriage timing:

  • Guru/Guru period, where Guru = L-7 navamsha

  • Gochara Rahu/Ketu in Sagittarius/Gemini transit to radix lagna

Factors for Childlessness:

After a long medical fertility quest, this couple remained childless.  Despite several attempts at legal adoption, children did not manifest. Why?

  • Karako bhavo nashto: Despite numerous positive fertility factors including Guru's drishti to Chandra and to female's radix lagna, her powerful Surya yuti combust Guru/9 damages the child-producing powers of dharma bhava.

  • L-8 Chandra in Suta kshetra (domain-5) is highly inauspicious for progeny.

  • Exalted L-9 Surya occupies the male's radix putra bhava.  The radiant rational energy of empowered Surya may yield possibly one offspring but tends toward no children at all.

  • Male's Kuja places vigorous but destructive warrior energy into putra sthana, ensuring that there will be no children although there will be remarkable success in non-fleshly creative endeavors.

Marriage Prognosis

Both partners will enjoy overlapping periods of their respective Guru mahadashas from 1999 until 2006.

Guru is the auspicious lagna lord for both radices.  Guru mahadasha will bring continuous prosperity to this couple (although, sadly, it is unlikely that He will bring children).

After that pleasant & loyal period,  the male enters mahadasha of exalted vargottama Shani in mid-2007.

Due to Sanaicharya's power as L2-exalted in gainful house-11, Saturn in this male's charts is both a wealth producer & a maraka.

Because Shani is both vargottama (i.e., same sign in both D-1 and D-9) and exalted, His results will be particularly strong.

Male's L8-in-house-6 has caused him a lifetime of health struggles. Yuti expansive Guru, L-8 Chandra in the house of disease creates chronic obesity and a myriad of mysterious yet painful  health symptoms.

In 2010, the wife enters Guru/Chandra. L-8 frequently signifies death of spouse, termination of marriage, legacy from the spouse and/or major contributions to marriage prosperity from the spouse, insurance benefits; and life-changing transformations through healing.

Simultaneously the husband will enter Shani/Budha period, which is to say the double-maraka period of L2/L7.

Psycho-emotional matches:

Occur on one axis only. Less community engagement; fewer "stakeholders". This couple is somewhat isolated socially.

  • Her radix nodal axis and her navamsha lagna/Moon axis matches his radix Moon and his navamsha nodal axis.

  • She "recognizes" him, but her moon is not matched in his navamsha - or radix.  She is "emotionally invisible" to him.  Someone must recognize her for life to go on.  This emotional gap is generally filled with a supplemental relationship.

Results the "cornerstone test" from Light on Relationships show that this relationship has a quite fine compatibility profile:

Female Sun = Leo

Male Sun = Aries

This 5/9 angle  is exceptionally auspicious.  It implies great success in public life, compatible ideals and cultural backgrounds, creating high social position.

Female Moon = Aries

Male Moon = Taurus

This 2/12 angle is inauspicious for emotional compatibility.  Note however the very beneficial compensating fact that female's Moon in Aries conjuncts Male Sun in Aries, with Male Sun additionally exalted in auspicious "purva punya" rashi-5th.

Female Lagna =Sagittarius

Male Lagna =Sagittarius

1/1 Same-sign lagna gives empathy for each other - an excellent asset in partnership.

Female Venus =Gemini

Male Venus =Pisces

The 4/10 angle is OK in marriage if one partner's aesthetic can be "public" while the other partner's tastes remain private or personal.  This mature couple has found a genteel entertaining lifestyle that combines elegant, sensitive Pisces with social, articulate Gemini.

May all beings venerate life as a state of deep spiritual intimacy.
