• Shatavishkya nakshatra = ruled by churning, barrier-breaking Rahu

• Kumbha rashi co-lorded by Rahu + Rahu's enemy Shani

ShataBishaja Lotus-root people obtain the social respect due to a lawful Shani-ruled rashi but they have a special affinity for the non-human beings and also sympathy (Chandra) for the outcast, foreigners (Rahu) the lower classes (Shani) and the great masses of people who huddle into leaderless conformist crowds.

• They respond to the masses and the classes, and once in a ranked status they start to break social taboos by penetrating the barriers that surround the elite

• They are not usually personally very happy, prone to fits of depression; however the healing service they can render to others is quite magnificent.

• Their best environment is one of poverty, despair, illiteracy, instinctive and muscular passions, large numbers of people trying to distribute relatively few resources, cultures of oily smoke and conjuring, crawling with reptiles, eating meat and surging with animal passions.

• Into the right environment they bring a gift of mimicry and posturing that allows people to trust them. Shatataraka can "pass" as whatever race, class, or religious culture they wish.

• Thus they excel in the tropical jungle countries, and in the pockets of jungle culture composed by migrants into the drier, colder lands.

• and in one place [RV. vii , 64 , 2] is called with Mitra , sindhu-pati, "lord of the sea or of rivers"; hence in the later mythology he became a kind of Neptune, and is there best known in his character of god of the ocean.
