JFK's career was "mixed up" due to the dangerous mixing between the two enemies Surya (ethical principle) + Shukra (sensual pleasure). The unfavorable mix is seen in parivartamsha in navamsha between Shukra and Surya, and their proximity in career-determining navamsha-10. His propensity for beautiful actresses was well known to JFK's colleagues but not to the general electorate for whom (in those days) everything was staged. From a Jyotisha perspective it is JFK's involvement with drama-beauty-women which caused him the ultimate farewell tour.
