"When governments fear people, there is liberty.

When the people fear the government, there is tyranny."

Thomas Jefferson was spectacularly talented political philosopher, architect, writer, and statesman - inter alia. He qualifies as a notable polymath of his era. However some aspects of his human character and behavior, particularly his intimate relationships, are considered unusual to the point of overtly breaking social taboo of his day. (compare to another famous Punarvasu, Albert Einstein - same open minded Guru disregard for Shani convention.)

Jefferson was also very much associated with a massive military and political revolution, with metal implements, and frequent journeys by sea.The current rectification accounts nicely for this historical view of the man by placing neechcha Kuja in lagna. Kuja gets neechcha bhanga in this position; the parivartamsha yoga created with Chandra thereby gives Kuja intense courage, literary capabilities, and frequent journey by sea.

Atmakaraka Mangala in Meena 10th navamsha suggests philosophical worldview and some designation as a spiritual guide or teacher but with a physical, muscular, sexual or warlike element from Mangala. Indeed Jefferson was a capable and very influential political philosopher but always first and foremost a man of action.

The nativity becomes exceptionally powerful via Atmakaraka Mangala in the radical lagna where Kuja obtains neechcha-bhanga because uchcha Surya occupies Mangala's rashi in kendra-10.

Punarvasu

  • Shil-Ponde (1939) Hindu Astrology Joytisha-Shastra. p 81.

"... from Arudra to Punarvasu, a startling change in mental development.

In Punarvasu, the native is possessed of profound intelligence ,

  • capable of delving into and understanding all manner of philosophical and metaphysical postulates.

He revels in abstract thought

  • and has a lively and profound imagination.

He may be also a poet of high attainment, expressing a fire and vitality in his verse

  • which is the result of an unusually passionate temperament.

He will, however, be only moderately successful by worldly standards during his lifetime

  • although unlike the Arudra native, he will not experience poverty."

Rahu in bhava-10 + uchcha Surya + Budha
