• Roosevelt famously held a great respect and admiration for his father, "Thee" Roosevelt . His sister said after TR's death, " The told me frequently that he never took any serious step or made any vital decision for his country without thinking first what position his father would have taken."

  • Second marriage (2) to TR's childhood sweetheart, likely the first affianced, with whom he broke up in his second year of college, before courting his 1st wife.

• TR's 2nd wife attended TR's first wedding as a lifelong friend of TR's family. True to Shani, the second Mrs. Roosevelt has been described as "rigid", "taciturn", "frugal" and "an extremely private person". Yet she bore five children along with several miscarriages, raised all of them to positions of social responsibility, and endured a heavy workload of public duties associated with her husband's political ascendancy, all with great dignity and completion. She also lived a long life, surviving her husband and most of her children: Shani = lord of 8th-from-2nd = the longevity of the 2nd spouse.

  L-2 Chandra occupies lagna = TR = strongly socially identified with his second marriage and the socially conservative ties between his second wife and his family history.

  The first marriage, while no doubt delightful, is not strong and in fact it could be said due to the Kuja Dosha that had his beloved first wife not died of illness, there would have been serious marital discord.

  The second marriage, while full of tremendous responsibility for a large family and a growing government of a tumultuous country, was nevertheless stable and secure.

• the 6th bhava (illness) containing Shukra-Vrischika (wife) is enclosed between Surya-5 (children, politics) and Mangala-7 (contracts, deals, trusts) .

• His first marriage ended suddenly (Vrischika) when his young wife Anne died of kidney (Shukra, paired organs) failure, only two days after delivering their first and only child.
