Mussolini's Fascist dictatorship was sustained by the most brutal terrorism in modern history. Note the extraordinary strength of Mussolini's randhra bhava and its lord Shukra.

Mussolini does not have the vital, self-righteous planets of a world-dominator like Hitler.

His operations were fairly parochial. Mussolini's scope remained within the special passions of Italy, with a few conquesting forays into weakened, culnerable states of the surrounding regions (e.g., Ethiopia). His army was showy and immature; and his political hierarchy brazenly, perversely corrupt.

Q. 48. - Is there Kalasarpa Yoga in [Benito] Mussolini's horoscope ?

Ans. There is no doubt Kalasarpa Yoga in Mussolini's horoscope; but the evil is tempered because the planets are hemmed in not between Rahu and Ketu but between Ketu and Rahu.

Mussolini has a powerful Sula Yoga (one of the Nabhasa Yogas), because all the 7 planets are concentrated in the three houses - the 7th, the 8th and the 9th.

This is quite unfavourable and will have a very adverse effect especially that Saturn is at present transiting Mussolini's Janma Rashi, in which are placed Saturn and Mars.

Growing up in L-2+L-7 Mars period, little Benito no doubt enjoyed the benefits of a strong body and the favor of women due to Kuja's proximity to uchcha Chandra.

But Kuja is warlike, acting out violently suppressed anger in house-8.

In navamsha Kuja gives again the effect of the Moon, showing the incredible power of the Mother and women in general in Mussolini's life.

Forced into the same house with His enemy Shani (the force of conformism and rule of law) and ruled by His enemy Shukra (pleasant behavior and sexual communication).

Mangala is a volcano of suppressed emotion.

The integral violence of Mussolini's character - which the radix chart suggests is derived from both of his parents - was already active, in this self-defining period of the lagnesha.

By age eight, he was banned from his mother's church, and a few years later he was expelled from school, due to stabbing a fellow student and throwing an ink pot at a teacher.

It is also a truth worth remembering in Jyotisha that in order for later mahadasha to bear the fruit we might reasonably expect of them, the early-in-life dasha must lay strong foundations for later growth. Early mahadasha must be character-affirming and nourish the traits which bloom later.

Mars being such a strong and determinative planet in Mussolini's terrorist-tyrant career, it laid a strong foundation for his later willful arrogance and willingness to blame others for his crimes.

Having completed writing his autobiography he was given the opportunity to reflect upon the situation from his vantage point of protected seclusion. He knew his end was near and he knew it would be violent due to the chaos, suffering, and hatred he had inspired. Yet he was not tortured, but rather summarily shot with little personal suffering except for the anxiety which impending death naturally causes. Rahu in lagna provided a clear understanding of the self-elevation process: M knew that what goes up, must comes down. Rahu occupies lagna = the physical form, in Swati, a nakshatra of Rahu and Rahu gives effect of both L-6 Guru and L-8 Shukra.
