[Sparkling Splendid Surya] enemy of lagnesha Shani

yuvati-pati-7 * counseling, negotiation, balance, equity, franchise, parity, deal-making, bargains, advice, promises, vows, consecrations, match-making, partnerships, agreements, legal settlements following disagreement (6)

Ravi promotes pride in the ideal qualities of one's mate and nobility of relationships both personal and professional.

Ego-identified with activities of bargaining and alliance-construction; diplomacy and balancing skills. Confidence in one's ability to ensure equity.

Professor Surya = karaka for the rational and creative self, soul, and one's ability to channel divine intelligence. Ravi controls the marriage bhava, therefore for Kumbha indriya-lagna the birth condition of Ravi becomes a useful indicator of the character of the spouse.

pitrikaraka Surya yuvati-pati-7

The father tends to be an advocate, attorney, negotiator, counselor and advisor, match-maker, supervisor of vows and covenants, facilitator of balance and partnership. However, matters of adjusting and accommodating the interests of another person or another party belong in the province of Professor Surya's profound enemy Shukra. In His natural state, surya wants to be a self-referential and self-directed solo actor unconcerned with matters of equality of partnership with others.

Further, surya being the arch-enemy of lagnesha Shani, the power of Professor Surya to effect balance in the father's own undertakings may be subtly undermined by one's own insistence on the priority of scientific structures and group networking community interests, over and above the concern for balanced interpersonal relationships.

Both Makara-lagna nativities and Kumbha-lagna nativities may find a degree of contempt for a weakened father, Yet, acquiesce to grant him the basic dignity of a respected place in the world (yuvati-pati-7 10th from 10th). Much depends upon the specific placement of Surya.

Career

The dominant indicator of career activates 10th navamsha, and karma-pati; However, surya = a lesser karaka for publicly recognized leadership roles.

karmesha-10 Shukra has career-determining power as well, and the relationship of the radix karma-pati Shukra with the ruler of the 10th navamsha must be inspected to discover the career profile.

As karmesha-10 and Vidyapthi-5, shukra is a highly favorable yogakaraka for the Kumbha indriya-lagna and generally a positive support for Shukra-related careers such as finance, beauty, music, design, ornamentation, diplomacy, or engagement in sparkly white materials.

  • yuvati-pati-7 Ravi : when Surya is strong, one feels confident [Surya] to undertake career roles and professional placements which feature consulting, advising, counseling, arbitration, mediation, etc. Paired, coordinated work such as partner dancing, partner skating, professional tennis, and various types of business partnerships are validating expressions of Surya when the Great Light is well placed. There may be a preference for contract -based professional service.

Marriage

For husbandly nativities predominantly but also for wifely nativities to a lesser degree, one may experience repeating emotional patterns of conflict due to failed expectations of marital nourishment.

Due partly to emotional volatility of adversarial Chandra = rogesha-6 , traumatic memories of the mother may resurface in marriage, where the expectation that one will be taken care of by the partner typically ends in disappointment.

  • Surya, akaraka for center-stage attention, represents a high-performing, attention-seeking spouse .

  • The spouse is charismatic, intelligence, radiantly confident, and the life of the party.

  • In the event of divorce (which is sadly a common occurrence for Kumbha, due to the rogesha-6 Chandra), most of the jointly held friends of the couple will stay with the more 'fun' partner (who is certainly not Kumbha).

Husband-and-wife teams can be successful, but the mate should be the dominant partner, because yuvati-pati-7 Surya encourages Kumbha to marry a strong-willed and self-determined spouse (s).

The partner's career and the partner's leadership within the core union may significantly frame one's career choices.

Kumbha-1 often expects the spouse (whether male of female) to possess a more dominant or more professionalized career than oneselfr.

Because bhava-7 = a maraka bhava, it is generally not recommended to use remedial ruby except in special circumstances.

As d. Kapoor notes, one of those special circumstances could be a very focused professional drive toward promotion or recognition in the institutional hierarchy.

The larger the social network [Kumbha] of association, the better is the chance of Surya-ratna having a positive effect on the development of that infrastructure of consulting and advising relationships which underlies every successful public career.

Traditional Sacred Jewels

Should Kumbha indriya-lagna wear the Surya-ratna = Manika = pure Ruby?

QUOTATION from d. G. S. Kapoor. (1994). Gems and Astrology . Ranjan Publications, new

Delhi. p. 90

" For the Aquarius [Kumbha] Ascendant,

  • the Sun rules the Seventh, aMaraka house (house of death).

  • Sun is also an enemy of the lord of the Ascendant:

It will be, therefore, advisable for the native s of this Ascendant not to wear Ruby.

  • However, if the Sun rules Seventh in his own sign, ruby may be worn in the major period of Sun.

According to 'Bhawath Bhavam ' theory of Hindu Astrology, the seventh house is 10th to 10th house and wearing of Ruby in addition to enhancing the good effects of the Seventh house, will also help."

Chandra = rogesha-6 = " The Problematizer"

  • Inimical view of father, king, and politics

  • Disagrees with male (Ravi) privilege, claims of divine right, pretenders to royal charisma

  • May feel victimized by those who claim to be brilliant, special, central to the scene, or above statutory law

Periods of rogesha Soma may feel emotionally challenging.

Chandra-rogesha may use digestible food to self-medicate, leading to stomach or intestinal distress.

Chandra activates bhava-6, granting a particularly intuitive understanding and ability for matters of conflict management, litigation, pollution, exploitation, accusation, indictments, and various expressions of unfair imbalance.

Often seen in environmental, medical, and social-service roles.

bhava-6 = 12th-from-yuvatisthana = dissolution of contract, disagreement and distrust. Most acute results during Chandra Mahadasha or Vimshottari periods of graha in shad-ashtaka 6-8 challenge-angle to Chandra.

The Kumbha native = often a spiritual aspirant with emotional and financial problems . One seeks moksha but an underlying emotional illness may prevent spiritual relaxation and release.

One may feel oft beset with jealousy and mood swings, digestive problems and body pain of emotional origin, and financial problems due to indebtedness also originating in emotionally charged taking of loans.

  • Chandra lord of mahadusthamsha Ripu bhava breaks promises and ruins agreements, making divorce and disagreement a common emotional reality for this lagna. While the child is growing up, the mother is plagued by sickness and regrets.

  • The child may be accused of causing one's own problems. Blame-the-victim is a parental strategy to maintain emotional control over a child who is being used as a servant. If Rahu in 6 or Rahu involved with Chandra, higher likelihood of criminal extremes such as human trafficking.

  • The lagnesha Shani also rules the retreating, reclusive Vyaya bhava. In a mood, the native will withdraw into one's imagination or travel to a distant place to get away from the emotional stress.

  • One may be taken from the homeland [Chandra] at a tender age, and victimized or exploited by caretakers or parent-figures.

Due to awkward lordship for Chandra, Kumbha indriya-lagna is a fairly difficult life placement. Kumbha indriya-lagna nativities are somewhat less commonly distributed. Often, the only partner who can really understand Kumbha is another Kumbhar.

Animals and Servants = Emotional Protective Instinct

  • Chandra's Emotional Protective Instincts embrace and nurture denizens of bhava-6, who are primarily animals and servants, workers and the dispossessed.

  • Kumbha natives will be found in satisfying emotional relationships to their house pets, cats dogs and horses, as well as even emotionally sensitive protective engagement with kine (cattle) sheep and beasts of burden.

  • Kumbha may enjoy success as animal trainers, operators of animal shelters and rescue groups/ One may find that when human companions disappoint, an animal companion will remain supportive and steadfast.

  • Similarly, emotionally protective relationships with servants and dispossessed or marginalized persons can easily developed.

  • Kumbha feels a great sympathy for the victim, the impoverished, the indebted, and the ill.

Trust Issues with Parents, naurturers and Caretakers

Mal-parenting

It is a dilemma that is profoundly acute and often painful for Kumbha: the parents, especially the mother = manipulative, unreliable and disagreeable. Extreme results can be criminal.

  • Due to the past-life unfinished business, in the present life one's very core of support and nurturing is polluted by the parents adversarial feelings * especially mothers'.

  • The parents may (consciously or more often unconsciously) victimize the native .

  • Parents-caretakers may then become accusers , blaming the victim for failure to maintain trust and unwillingness to honor the terms of contracts. They may exploit the native, forcing one into service. Extreme examples of parents involved with human trafficking of their own children are unfortunately not hard to find.

Abuse by the maternal uncle (6 = 3rd from 4th) or someone posing in that role (e.g., atemporary companion of the mother addressed as 'uncle'.)

Rahu drishti to Chandra or Rahu-Karkata can exacerbate the outcome.

. For both men and women, lifelong 'problematicity' (a repeating argument involving several interlocked problems) with betraying women, especially one's own mother

For menfolk, distrust of the mother of one's children.

For womenfolk, one's own nurturing capabilities are oddly handicapped by relationship breakdown, and the flow of parenting energy may be only intermittent. Often the mother is separated from her children by her feeling that she is not quite capable of providing daily routine and shelter.

Unless Professor Chandra is very well placed, the may be deep issues with animosity and distrust. Although these feelings (Somana) may be masked by a veneer of emotional responsiveness to others, at base the native is challenged to extract . Chandra well disposed in radix or navamsha may compensate socially with a stable public marriage but even a comfortable placement of Somana cannot quickly erase the deep akashic-memory patterns of early childhood harm by the parents. Especially acute with Chandra in a Nakshatra of Chandra (Rohiṇī - Aldebaran, Hasta - Savitra, Śrāvaṇa ).

As rogesha-6 for Kumbha indriya-lagna , the highly fluctuating and impressionable Chandra provides consistently frustrating emotional growth-challenges in life.

The very force of maternal caring and (ideally) unconditional acceptance by the mother is oppressed into service as the disagreeable rogesha-6 .

Chandra ruler of Core Emotions controls the awkward , unbalanced Ripu Bhava. A fundamental lack of trust in nurturers, and in those who have assumed caretaker or protector roles in the current incarnation, provides a significant challenge to one's attempt to achieve lasting agreements in emotional relationships.

  • Even when Chandra is blessed with a gracious rashi and bhava, the fundamental emotional distrust and disappointment-in-advance regarding marriage partner behaviors, will be present.

Kumbha indriya-lagna and Kumbha chandra are both good indicators of success in monastic spiritual life. this success begins to accelerate when one understands and accepts the pre-incarnationally planned predicament of Kumbha's emotional constitution in this life. The most satisfying emotional relationships happen between the Kumbha native and the ishtadevata.

However human emotional relationships with their complex and relentless expectation of compassionate nurturing acceptance would be systematically disappointed. Kumbha natives may attempt multiple marriages and marriage-type commitments in the fond pursuit of a lasting agreement, but even the most lovely Moon

Marriage and Alliances

one born with Chandra in yuvati-sthāna needs a caretaker spouse.

Emotionally, chandra-7 expects the spouse to continue to provide parental doting love, shelter from criticism, amotherly unconditional acceptance, and most importantly security.

Naturally, the parent-child protective relationship is not a match for the true equality of marriage alliance.

Therefore, mutual sexual attraction tends to be reduced, while the benefit of social-emotional security may be satisfactory. [Except when Chandra rules dusthamsha.]

The primary purpose of marital sexual pleasure tends to be producing children to validate the marriage contract [7] and appease cultural judgment.

  • Once children are born, chandra is most soothed by maintaining the familiar customs and defending a safe home.

Professor Chandra unbalances relationships between individual partners, between individuals and various groups, and between the individual and society.

Emotional mandate (often unconscious) toward multiple marriages or no marriage. Underlying search for compensatory parenting, wants a caretaker spouse. Seeks shelter, protection, and nourishment yet one is attracted to Simha-type spouses who are somewhat self-centered.

A peculiar pattern of matching energy occurs in the Kumbha marriage. Yet, the spouse's imagination (12th from 7th) is so overcharged with animosity due to their own childhood, that when combined with one's own (matching) self-accusation and internalized blaming from the parents that sustaining a marriage may be an overwhelming emotional challenge.

Social isolation or Fringe identity

  • The Kumbha native feels that one does not quite belong. In the most comfortable case, professor Chandra occupies svakshetra-6, leading to an exceptional career in maternal-child medicine or the care of the service class.

  • Also comfortable and pleasing results may possibly arise from Chandra in the uttama Vrishabha bhava-4, where one may become a happy and prosperous owner of a great many real-estate properties.

  • However, no matter what material contentment the Kumbha native may find, it will fluctuate according to the nature of Chandra.

One tends to get in and out of relationships very quickly, due to the chronic emotional need to find one's place in life but followed shortly by the emotional reaction to the inevitable loss of agreement that is the hallmark of the lord of Ripu Bhava.

Chandra is an especially difficult graha for Kumbha nativities in which Chandra = rogesha-6 from both kundali indriya-lagna (material animosity) and Chandra lagna (emotional imbalance-seeking-a-remedy): e.g., Kumbha kundali indriya-lagna + Kumbha Chandra (a fairly rare type of nativity) Professor Chandra activates bhava-6: for Kumbha indriya-lagna .

  • Kumbha natives are emotionally oriented toward providing service in exchange for security and protection . They are happiest in service roles that manage conflict, protect victims, regulate social power imbalance-seeking-a-remedy etc, such as police, social welfare, human rights, criminal defense, health workers, purveyors of medicines, etc.

  • Chandra's radix and navamsha rashi's and any drishti to Chandra will show one's specific style of pursuing security and emotional fulfillment. (e.g., moon ruled by Shukra gives service roles in beauty and fairness; ruled by Shani gives service roles in law enforcement; ruled by Surya service role in entertainment etc.)

  • Typically, these natives suffer a good deal of internal emotional conflict in their own lives. They tend to acquire debt during their pursuit of security and fulfillment. They are unusually prone toward illnesses and accidents. They feel deep empathy for animals wild and domestic, and for all types of victims.

  • The Kumbha man will in particular feel outraged by the criminal (or nearly so) actions of the most motherly women in his life; it will be his high challenge to see these women, supposed to be queenly fountains of unconditional love [Chandra] as mere humans and frankly of the lowest human genre (6). All partnerships with women are colored by a fundamental unerlying disappointment in the moral weakness of women as a class.

rogesha-6 Chandra = women in the parenting or caretaking role are problematic in the lifetime.

Agents of breakdown of trust = virtually any person (male or female) vested in a parental, protective trust.

  • Mothers, aunts, and grandmothers = may breakpromises or fail to protect

  • schoolteachers and camp counselors

  • babysitters, including friends of the parents, or step-parents = may become exploitive or abusive

  • nurses in home-care and hospitals

  • one's friend's mothers;neighbors who watch the children;

  • schools and schoolteachers may misbehave, be domineering, assign task-lists of busywork, learning feels like slave-work.

  • nurturers deprive one of nourishment

  • the ocean and marine workers = imbalance-seeking-a-remedy in all things from the ocean, to the point of allergies to sea-food and ailment after ocean bathing; Kumbha is prone to be sea-sick.

No matter how fortunate Chandra's character by other measures, Kumbha-born face an underlying akashic-memory patterns of disappointment from womenfolk in general..

One's own mother = victimized by exploitive or domineering others. Perhaps she was forced to abandon a career she enjoyed in order to follow her husband's wishes; perhaps her servitude is more oppressive. She might have suffered a chronic illness or been obliged to repay another's debt. One may feel that the mother's taste in husbands was degrading in some sense.

Seva

  • The disabilities of rogesha-6 Chandra can be mitigated via selfless service to ignorant, enslaved, or victimized women.

Sacred Jewels for Chandra - Mukta moti = pure natural Pearl for the rogesha-6 Chandra

  • It is generally not recommended to apply natural Pearls for remedial purposes, and avoid decorating the person with natural pearls if possible False pearls, even the high-priced electronically dipped artificial pearls, have no Jyotisha empowerment and they may be worn happily without interference to the psychic signal system.

  • The Soma-negative situation is similar to Makara indriya-lagna.

The easiest practice for Kumbha natives = to avoid wearing Mukta (pearl) for the lifetime.

  • Under special circumstances of a great commitment to the Seva of medical or human services practice benefitting outcastes, ethnic minorities, prostitutes, drug addicts, and other suffering members of the exploited victim classes, if and only if Soma occupies Chandra in bhava-6, then a pearl may immensely strengthen the emotional reserves necessary to undertake such saintly pursuits.

  • Otherwise, best to avoid the Mukta for lifer.

The Pearl recommendations for Kumbha are missing from d. G. S. Kapoor. (1994). Gems and Astrology . Ranjan Publications, new

Delhi. p. 94. However, we can surmise that he would agree on the no-exceptions proscription against Mukta for the Kumbha indriya-lagna .Moon = an enemy of Saturn, the lord of the ascendant. Moon = less benevolent agent of"emotional discord"as rogesha-6 not to mention a karaka for disagreements with or exploitation by the Mother.

  • Presumably d. Kapoor would agree that Kumbha indriya-lagna natives should scrupulously avoid wearing Pearl.

Professor Kuja

sahajapathi bhratru-pati-3

+ karmesha karmesha-10

Career

  • Public Visibility
  • Social Reputation and Respect
  • Elite Positions
  • Leadership Roles
  • Governance Duties
  • Professional Responsibilities

Vital and competitive Professor Kuja controls

  • daily mental process (3)
  • leadership roles (10).

During Kuja's bhukti, if one has sufficient administrative business inclinations and Kuja is reasonably auspicious at birth, it may be OK to apply coral and other gems of Kuja.

For the Kumbha indriya-lagna only

nichha karmesha Mangala in 6

sycophancy, false accusations, may publish (3) dishonorable charges against leaders and public figures (10) for purpose of emotional manipulation (nichha) leading to extortion.

  • Yet, after causing much grief to adversaries, the charges remain unsubstantiated.

  • False accusations, false informant to legal prosecutors, "tattling" their profession (10); may earn wealth and reputation via devious "out of court" (6th = 12th from 7th) settlements extorted from those trying to protect their public reputation (10).

  • Mangala-6 may experience conflict in regard to servants and from the mother's relatives.

Sacred Jewels

Should Kumbha indriya-lagna wear the Mangala-ratna = Munga = red coral?

QUOTATION from d. G. S. Kapoor. (1994). Gems and Astrology . Ranjan Publications, new

Delhi. p. 98

" For the Aquarius Ascendant

  • Mars will be lord of the 3rd and 10th houses.

Red Coral can be worn in the major period of Mars

  • for promotion and success in the professional field.

If, however, mars is in his own sign in the 10th ,

  • this disposition will give rise to Ruchaka Yoga ...

  • and the native can wear a Red Coral with advantage whenever necessary."

Professor Budha

vidya-pati-5 rules

  • 5-celebrity, dramatics, center-stage roles, creativity, intelligence, romance, speculative finance, theatre, ,children, politics, entitlement, prizes

+ randhresha ruler-of-8

Unique individual Intelligence (5) and Discovery of Hidden Transformations (8)

Budha wants to talk-about, instruct, explain, classify, discriminate, analyze, articulate, and announce WRT matters of bhava-8 and bhava-5 = Intelligence and the Occult:

  • Children, politics, fashion, charisma (5) : games and gambling - winning prizes, awards and Trophies fortune and luck, creative arts + literature, divine Intelligence, speculation, Prestige, Fame, fashion, theatre center-stage roles, celebrations - Festivals - Amusement - Divine Light , self-Expression

  • Destruction and Rebirth (8): emergencies, disasters, secret instructions, confidential information, privileged information, transformative process, insider knowledge, psychology, detection, digging, drilling, plunging, plumbing, mining, penetration, emergence, surgery, excavating, discoveries, revelation, rejuvenation, reconstruction,

Budha's rulership of Mangala's svabhava-8 is somewhat problematic because Budha and Mangala are enemies. Budha wants to talk while Mangala wants to act.

  • If Budha is not well supported, one may develop a reputation for blustering and boasting about knowing occult secrets, detecting hidden resources and making transformative changes . Kumbha may acquire a social reputation as the "New Age type" who seems to babble on (Mithuna) about occult topics in a confused, superficial, or pseudo-scientific way.

Conversationally active and sexually curious, budha the Analyzer will give mixed results over the period of a lifetime. Comfortable results for children, creativity, performance arts, games and amusements.

Sacred Jewels

Should Kumbha indriya-lagna wear the Budha-ratna = Emerald = panna?

QUOTATION from d. G. S. Kapoor. (1994). Gems and Astrology . Ranjan Publications, new

Delhi. p. 102

" For the Aquarius Ascendant,

Mercury rules the 5th and 8th houses.

  • On account of his lordship of a trine Mercury is accepted mostly as an auspicious planet for this ascendant.

The lord of this Ascendant Saturn is a friend of Mercury.

  • Therefore, if Emerald is worn with blue sapphire it will prove very beneficial to the native .

  • Similarly beneficial will be the combination of Emerald and Diamond

As the ruler of the latter Venus being a friend of Mercury is a yoga karaka for this Ascendant on account of his lordship of the 4th and the 9th houses.

  • The same applies in the case of Capricornus Ascendant where also Venus is a yoga karaka planet on account of his lordship of the 5th and 10th houses."

[Generous Growing Guru]

  • material wealth = dhanapati-2 + Vriddhi-pati-11 Guru

  • family, face, food (2)

  • values (2)

  • knowledge of history and languages (2)

  • marketplace earnings (11)

  • associative distributive networks (11)

DHANAYOGa

For the Kumbha nativity, Guru = dhanapati-2 ++ Vriddhi-pati-11.

Brihasapti becomes a dhanakaraka producing both saved-collected-hoarded value-2 (both knowledge wealth and material items) along with economic profits-11

There are four main TREASURY bhava

  • 2 = banked savings
  • 5 = gambling or speculative wins AND dissolution of debts
  • 9 = wisdom-awareness of always-existing prosperity resources
  • 11 = earned income.

Treasuries

Optimistic and inclusive Brihaspati becomes a highly benevolent

dhanapati-2 + Vriddhi-pati-11 financial well-being generator for Kumbha indriya-lagna .

Goldhord according to Brihaspati's bhava and the rashi.

Wise and expansive Professor Guru controls wealth for the Kumbha nativity via

  • bhava-2 * Savings, collections, libraries, warehouses, storage, archives, hoards, accumulations
  • bhava-11 * economic profits, gains of income, achievement of social-materials goals

For Kumbha indriya-lagna , presuming that Professor Guru is fairly well disposed, periods of dhanapati-2 + Vriddhi-pati-11 Brihaspati can generate considerable treasure via family-of-origin hoarded assets and knowledge-values, along with earned income from the economic marketplace of commodities, goods and services.

Professor Guru can use His tenants to expand the banked collections.

Mahadasha of Guru emphasizes values both scholarly and material (language, knowledge of history, speech, art, music, and money) . In addition to substantial wealth, all periods of Guru including any bhukti wherein Guru occupies a favorable angle from the mahadasha-pati can also be expected to bring the realization of clearly articulated goals and objectives in life.

Via the elder brother or a helpful agent who serves a mentoring role similar to what an elder brother would do, one may receive generous aid in bringing one's cherished goals into the field of material reality.

Sacred Jewels

yellow sapphire (pushkaraja,"pukhraj") supports Guru

Professor Guru and lagnesha Shani are neutral toward each other, therefore, the pushkarya-raja-ratna,"pukhraj" is suitable to wear during periods of Brihaspati. Double-check to ensure that Guru is also well disposed in reference to Chandra-lagna.

Apply the pukhara-raja-ratna with caution, appreciating that dhanapati-2 Guru is an empowered hoarder, an empowered earner, and an empowered maraka. According to BPHS ch 43, the period of Chandra-Guru can be fatal.

Although a maraka graha, Guru will normally not kill the native early in life, unless Brihaspati is also lord of 2nd from Chandra or 7th from Chandra. Therefore Kumbha natives should avoid the "Pukh-raj" when Chandra occupies Vṛścika, Kumbha, Kanya, or Mithuna.

Otherwise, as d. Kapoor notes, those not under imminent threat of death may enjoy the fruits of treasuries and a broad network of friendly association by enhancement from the Guru Ratnar.

Vimshottari Dasha of Brihaspati

Depending on characteristics of Brihaspati according to yuti-graha, rashi, drishti. and bhava, Guru Mahadasha for the Kumbha radical nativity is generally a period of great economic incomes and great conservation of treasuries gained.

Guru's mūlatrikoṇa being Dhanus, overall effects of labha-bhava-11 are generally somewhat stronger than the effects of dhanasthāna-2.

Because of the role played by Professor Guru for the Kumbha nativity, and the natural neutrality of Guru toward lagnesha Shani, it is a common experience that a steady stream of opportunities for economic profitability and the expansion of the social network would accompany a great capacity to save, preserve, conserve, and contain the treasuries gained via economic systems participation during this 16-year mahadashar.

Sacred Jewels

Should Kumbha indriya-lagna wear the Guru-ratna = yellow sapphire = pukhraj?

QUOTATION d. G. S. Kapoor. (1994). Gems and Astrology . Ranjan Publications, new

Delhi. p. 108

" For the Aquarius Ascendant,

  • Jupiter will be lord of the 2nd and the 11th houses.

  • Saturn, the lord of this Ascendant, is an enemy of Jupiter.

Still yellow sapphire can be worn in the major period of Jupiter particularly when it is in his own sign in the 2nd or the 11th, to gain wealth, children and other comforts.

  • However, those who are apprehending death because of old age or some illness or on account of indication of short life in their horoscopes, should not wear Yellow Sapphire

  • as Jupiter being lord of the 2nd house, is a death inflicting planet for this Ascendant."

[Sweetly Suave Shukra]

  • [Yogakaraka for Kumbha lagna]
  • Vrishabha 4-home, roots, routines, security, customs , foundations, childhood, cultural rhythms, ethnic basi
  • Vanika- 9-doctrine, preaching, worldview, principled interpretations of reality, philosophy, credenda, beliefs

As bandupathi-4 and dharma-pati-9, shukra regulates both the local, seasonal religious calendar (4) and the global, universal philosophical principles which produce higher sacred knowledge.

Within Tula rashi, 1-10 degrees = Chitra 3-4 + Svatika-1 = Shukra's mūlatrikoṇa. This portion occurs within Tula-bhava-9/ Shukra usually plays a diplomatic, bargaining role within the Kumbha nativity. Shukra aims to balance the claims of all parties in matters of religion, belief, ideology, and benefits of patronage (9).

Professor Shukra = dhata-karaka = oriented to harmonizing, negotiating, bargaining, agreement-making. Shukra's expressions of public piety and less to the quiet, invisible realm of private prayer which is governed by ruler-of-12 Shani..

  • Shukra in bhava-2 = the entire family = graciously religious

  • Chandra-yuti-Shukra = partner + mother = graciously religious

  • Shukra + Surya = partner + father = graciously religious

  • [Shukra-yuti-Mangala] = partner + brother = graciously religious

  • Shukra + Shukra = partner + sister = graciously religious

  • Shukra + Shukra = partner + siblings and cousins = all together, graciously religious

bandesha-4 +Dharmesha-9 Shukra is a powerful Yogakaraka for Kumbha indriya-lagna .

As a natural pleasure-giver subhagraha bandesha-4 +Dharmesha-9, sweet and sensual Professor Shukra becomes a potent and positive [Yogakaraka] in control of

  • schooling (4)
  • attainments in arts and music [Shukra]
  • property and vehicle ownership (4)
  • relationships with patrons, high-priests, and professors (9)
  • privilege of access to sacred teachings (9).

Depending on Shukra's full character (rashi, drishti, et-cetera.) periods of Shukra are Usually, very beneficial for the Kumbha native.

A good position of Shukra in the Kumbha indriya-lagna chart can compensate for many other planned misalignments requiring realignment attention . Shukra is best in any kendra, but especially in lagna where it makes the person physically attractive and brings much happiness from property ownership-stewardship , interior decorating, architectural practice and also from global scholarly travels in the context of alliance-building and acquisition of higher knowledger.

White Diamond is very auspicious for one born with Yogakaraka ukra. Particularly good for schooling, diplomas, certificates, licenses. Also deed of title to property. Native going back to school, seeking professional development, teacher skills training etc.

Badhaka -sthāna = harming-houses houses

Badhakasthāna = Tula

Dharmesha-9 Shukra = badhesha

However, shukra is also a very positive agent for most outcomes of Kumbha

  • [Yogakaraka] graha from the Kumbha indriya-lagna

  • natural pleasure-giver subhagraha

  • great friend of lagnesha Shani = Shani finds [uchcha] amza in Thula

Therefore little harm is really possible. Expect the occasional bumpy interaction with badhaka agents during periods of Shukra, but nothing serious.

Professor Shukra's badhesha status mainly produces the occasional problematic relationship [Shukra] with a dharmasthāna agent such as professor, preacher, father, paternalistic personality or patriarch. Perhaps the most common outcome = the father (9) may have an inordinate appreciation for the feminine charms, which can cause the native to feel that his marital commitment [Shukra] could waver. However, unless Dharmesha-9 and the teachings of Professor Surya are subject to prolonged repetition of the key structural elements of the learning pathway (which are in reality multiple opportunities for accepting of gifts of understanding)Usually, via constrictive drishti. There is no cause for genuine concernr.

Special note on Shukra-Mithuna-5:

Shukra, the karaka of luxury, beauty, partnered relationships, equity, and female companions, occupies bhava-5, the site of self-empowerment, self-expression, royalty, celebrity, creativity, fashion, entertainments, genius, speculation, games, winning, theatre, and applause.

  • bhava-5 = natural terrain of self-referential Surya

  • other-oriented, partner-positive Shukra in Suta Bhava thus paradoxically needs a great deal of attention!

  • one often obtains the most attention not from the partner but from an admiring public who are entertained and amused by one's drama in the realm of contracts and relationships. Mithuna is a sexual rashi therefore much of the attention is derived from sexual interest.

  • it is not a Shukra placement which bodes a boring, peaceful, or nondescript marital life; rather, there is a good deal of dramatic brilliance which generate the contents of at least a few page-turning novels

It is probably not realistic to expect that the needs of literary, conversational, fashionable, linguistic, multi-cultural, and sensually sensitive Shukra would be met within entirely by the marriage partner.

The marriage partner of the Kumbha indriya-lagna native is materially represented (partly) by Professor Surya ruler of Simha-7. Surya is by character a rather self-concerned graha. The spouse is a wonderful person no doubt, but by nature such a spouse is rather more concerned with his or her day-to-day ego-membrane activities than with catering delicately to the marriage partner's pleasurer.

For ladies with Shukra-Mithuna:

It is much more realistic for most women to enjoy having a good part of one's sensual need met, pleasurably and with a light touch, in the company of womenfolk .

Day spa treatments, all varieties of massage; delicate care of the hair, skin, naails and face; talk of relationships [Shukra] and beauty (texture, design, color, balance in all things); can all be found in the company of sensitive women who are trained to beautify and sooThe earthen body .

Many women find that their need for delicate touch is met more successfully in a spa environment, with massage therapy appointments, or other beautification. Less sensitive men often perceive these feminine environments as quite foolish. Also, awoman with heavy sole-provider responsibilities might be forced to deprive herself of all luxuries, thus she might see Shukra's indulgence as foolish and wasteful.

Both men and women with Shukra-Mithunaare sensual beings! (And the ultimate sensual experience for these natives is, usually, either sexual lovemaking itself or the experience of conversing about the details of relationships.)

For Kumbha indriya-lagna , shukra-Mithuna occupies the fortunate 5th-from lagna, and Shukra = [Yogakaraka]

From a Jyotisha perspective, so long as Budha is well-disposed, shukra-Mithuna is a completely lovely planet whose periods bring many blessings and delights.

For a lady in Shukra bhukti who was feeling touch-deprived, yet respectful and appreciative of her busy and responsible husband:

It seems like a massage appointment, an afternoon at an Ayurvedic day spa, aseries of regular beautification treatments for hair, naails, skin etc., could all be very pleasant methods of receiving the delicate, sensual, healing touch that the Shukra-Mithuna body craves, without in the least endangering one's marriage.

During Shukra-Mithuna period, it is essential to receive a delicate touch (Mithuna - Dvamdva rules the Hands = a"conversation of touch" ); to enjoy female companionship (sisters, cousins, coworkers, housemates, lady friends from all sources); and to receive attention for the balanced loveliness of your appearance. bhava-5 is all about appearance!

Sacred Jewels

Should Kumbha indriya-lagna wear the Shukra-ratna = Diamond = azira, hira?

QUOTATION from d. G. S. Kapoor. (1994). Gems and Astrology . Ranjan Publications, new

Delhi. p. 113

" For the Capricorn and Aquarius Ascendants,

Venus will respectively be lord of

  • the 5th and 10th

  • and the 4th and 9th houses.

Therefore, Venus is considered an excellent and [Yogakaraka] planet for these Ascendants.

  • the natives of these Ascendants will do well in every sphere of their life by wearing a Diamond .

In the major period of Venus, wearing of a Diamond is a 'must' for those who have faith in the divine power of gem stones.

  • The results will become pronounced if Diamond is worn along with Blue Sapphire ." [end quote]

[Sober Structural Shani]

lagnesha-1 + ruler-of-12

Pragmatic and conventional Shani controls both identity and loss of identity.

For Kumbha-born, lagnesha Shani is also the retiring, withdrawing, research-duties, retreating, private vyaya-pati.

For Kumbha indriya-lagna nativities, professor Shani plays a special role. While not granting extraordinary vitality in The earthen body (such as the lagnesha can normally do) Shani may help the native to cultivate a practice of mature withdrawal from the frenzy of modern life, pragmatic service to others, ability to see the common traits in all sentient beings, and a dedicated meditation practice. Shani may be the agent of acquisition of a great inner peace.

Periods of Shani

  • Often evoke foreign travel (12), loss and of identity (12), various material losses and dissolution (12), heightened nervous sensitivity (1) and increased clairsentience (12), hospitalization or long sanctuary in meditation (12), animosity from the spouse (12), bed pleasures (12),new identity via new clothing, new

appearance, or new social attributes (1).

  • the native is prone toward meditation and pilgrimage.

Even in middle age, undertaking long sojourn abroad during Shani bhukti is easy for the Kumbha native due to the identity-dissolving effects of 12 combined with the new-clothes or new-attributes effect of 1.

Sacred Jewels for Shani - Blue Sapphire (Nilam)

One may cautiously apply the Nilama and Professor Shani's lesser stones during Shani bhukti.

  • Shani-ratna may increase the native 's intuitive awareness of the existence and psychic traffic along the bridge between the astral and material planes. Dream recognition and comprehension of symbolic communicative meanings will increase, as well as one's inclination toward meditation and austere spiritual retreat.

Should Kumbha indriya-lagna wear the Shani-ratna = blue sapphire = neelamani?

QUOTATION from d. G. S. Kapoor. (1994). Gems and Astrology . Ranjan Publications, new

Delhi. p. 117

" For the Capricorn and Aquarius Ascendants

Saturn is the lord of the Ascendant.

  • Blue Sapphire should be worn by the native s of these Ascendants as a protective charm all their life.

  • It will bestow good health, long life, prosperity, wealth, happiness and success in their ventures.

The effects of Blue Sapphire will be strengthened

  • if a Diamond , the gem stone of Venus, who is a [Yogakaraka] for these two Ascendants, is worn along with it."

Professor Rahu

Rahu's effects for Kumbha indriya-lagna depend significantly on Rahu's bhava, rashi, and incoming drishti. risk-rewarding Rahu's effects for Kumbha indriya-lagna depend significantly on Rahu's bhava, rashi, and incoming drishti.

Professor Rahu amplifies the effect of any graha who are sharing Rahu's house; and also Rahu magnifies the effects of the lord of His occupied Rashi.

Rahu and Ketu are said to give positive results in the 3rd, 6th, and 11th bhava from the lagna or from Chandra.

In addition, some authorities posit that since Rahu-Ketu are exalted in Vṛṣa-Vṛścika (per BPHS), that Rahu-Ketu tend to produce comfortable results when Professor Mangala and Professor Bright Beautiful Bhrigu are well-disposed.

Numerous other schemes for evaluating the elusive aprakasha graha also exist. (More details in the summary provided by d. G.S. Kapoor. )

Rahu-Mesha-Aja -3

A driven communicator, rahu-3 likes business to be simple, direct, competitive, and intensely energized.

Rahu produces exciting results for commercial business in bhava-3

Rahu-3 = mentally restless, on the prowl, hunting [Mesha] for opportunities to become important.

Rahu-3 ,amplifies the natural Mesha environment = mineral-body, forward-push, athleticism, blood-and-sinew, muscles, kinetic drive, any type of vigorous movement.

Rahu-3 is a communications focus.

Suitable fit for Rahu-3-Mesha could include health communicator with focus on instructions, diagrams, announcements, specializing in areas such as physical therapy, hatha-yoga instruction, dance teacher, sports coach, or military warrior training. The key is vitalizing activity [Mesha] ++ 3 = commerce, script, transaction, information delivery.

Risk-rewarding Rahu's ambitions are very powerful. He tends to ignore the natural assets while feeling driven by an obsessive desire for whatever is unnatural or not originally endowed in the inventory-at-birth.

Professor Rahu teaching in classroom-3 is essentially a positive agent. He is a great engine of forward movement for business growth. Rahu-3-Mesha can reach great heights of commercial success by thinking out of the box.

Rahu goes under the system, around the system, over the system..He prefers unconventional styles of interaction to vigorously expand marketing, sales, advertising, and administrative reach.

Rahu the Chalakaraka does have a tendency to overdo the vigor, so that the cart can run away with the horse. It is wise to harness Excitable Shri Rahu to a carefully constructed business program. Rahu-Mesha is like jet fuel. When well managed, He is an amazing power source. When ill managed, He can explode.

Risk-rewarding Rahu's pro-movement energies benefit from active meditation and selfless service to those who are struggling with small, local sales or marketing operations such as local craftspeople.

Targeted Seva can work wonders to release some of Rahu's pent-up ambitions.

Rahu-Mesha likes working in exotic or multi-cultural scenarios. Rahu likes to handle (3) business processes for products and services that are foreign or boundary-breaching in nature. He thrives when the commercial environment is edgy, innovative, or perhaps have advantageously taboo quality.

Engage Rahu in Service so that He can blow off a little excess heat. Then the Ambitious One can use His power to empower others - a win!

Sacred Jewels

Rahu-ratna

Rahu is co-lord of kendra bhava-1 Kumbha,

  • therefore Rahu-ratna (gomedha) may be a beneficial gem for matters of personality development and the vitality of The earthen body -- if and only if the lord of bhava-1 and its occupants are comfortably placed.

[Collapsing unshackling Ketu] = 8 + 10

  • Ketu's effects depend significantly on Ketu's bhava, rashi, and drishti.

  • chidrakarakaKetuun-connects the effect of any graha sharing Ketu's house

  • Ketu scatters the effects of His planetary lord

  • For more detailed evaluation, see Ketu in 12 bhava.

Ketu = temporal co-lord of bhava- 10 = 3rd-from-8th = Vṛścika - Thriketta

  • Collapsing Ketu = the natural co-regulator of bhava-8 .

For Kumbha indriya-lagna , professor Ketu = associated with

  • Mangala = temporal co-regulator of 10 + natural co-regulator of 8.

  • Mangala = enemy of lagnesha Shani

  • Budha = temporal lord of 8-Kanya.

  • Mangala = enemy of Budha.

to predict the effects of Ketu Mahadasha, measure

  • the influence of Ketu's planetary lord

  • the disposition of both Budha and Mangala

Professor Mangala's teachings can be an engine of self-destructive sexual coupling (Mangala-Budha) for Kumbha nativities. Ketu-ratna Vaidurya is unlikely to be a beneficial gem except for matters of self-explanatory narrative especially mystical-transformative writing and publication.

Even for those special purposes, prescribe the Ketu-ratna only if the lord of bhava-3 and its occupants are auspicious.

Under certain carefully assessed circumstances, if the lord of bhava-10 and occupants of karma-bhava are comfortably placed, and a " scattering" non-discriminating effect could be perhaps helpful, the Cat's Eye might aid special cases of iconic public recognition (10). These are rare circumstances but they do occur.
