Osho comments on Astrology

OSHO Rajneesh jyotisha D-1 and D-9 - Barbara Pijan Lama Jyotisha

MALES

Azwini

  • Shil-Ponde. (1939). Hindu Astrology Joytisha-Shastra . p 84

"... a happy carefree disposition,

  • very intelligent ,

  • in fact a rather above average person in this respect.

He will be quite successful and his financial status will be such that

  • he will seldom have to worry about money matters.

In spite of his ability to achieve success,

  • he will be modest concerning himself and his achievements."

Distinctive Features of the Nativity

Degree of the Radix Moon = 25 Dhanushya

  • M.C. Jain, The Stars and your Future p 119

  • "Degree of Spiritual Struggles"

"Denotes one who is of a romantic mind, loving and leaning to the philosophy and thought of other days in which he is a master.

The forces play around him and attempts from the two worlds will be made to draw him from his deeper thoughts to the frivolity, folly, and transitory joys of this earth.

Many times he will be shaken, but his power is too great for sensual overcomings. Instead he throws to the world the wine of life that those who are capable may drink.

With regard to health, this degree is associated with nervous troubles, especially if afflicted by Mercury of Herschel. It is sometimes due to glandular deficiency."

Jyotisha Remedial Ratna:

  1. Surya ratna supports bhagya romantic, fashionable, glittering, brilliant, creative Surya = L-5

  2. Chandra ratna generally OK to support parental, secure, protected, educational Chandra = L-4

  3. Mangala ratna supports innovative, pioneering, moving, active, blood-vital Mangala lagnesha

  4. Guru ratna supports wise, expansive, tolerant, inclusive fertile Brihaspati L-9 and L-12 = world travel, wisdom teachings, spiritual guidance, worship, and meditation

Distinctive features of nativity:

Purvashadha Chandra ruled by Shukra, emotional affinity for sweet pleasures

  • in 9, those pleasures are philosophical, global, and wise

Rahu in Bhava 12 =

Ketu in Bhava-6

chalakaraka Rahu in bhava 12

  • Rahu = Privilege-seeking ambition to obtain the entitlements accorded to important figures in imaginative pursuits, clandestine operations, meditation, sanctuary spaces, the astral plane (12), communication with spirit guides, or those who power is known only behind closed doors or in distant lands.

  • Fantasy guiding personality. Achieve entitlements via the business of private sanctuary, artistic-imaginative or prayer retreat, hospital or hotel, remote or astral travel, or spiritual meditation.

chidakaraka Ketu in bhava 6

  • Disregards the enemies. Disregards the physicians. Disinterest in medicines. Apathetic ambivalence toward medicines, war, conflict, poverty, pollution, toxicity, disease, debt, infidelity, crime, servitude, injury, accusations, litigation, exploitation, enemies

  • Yet no barriers of resistance in regard to these chronic human problems. One may be a visionary physician, evade debts and loans without trying, or be psychically vulnerable to the thoughts of one's enemies - all depending upon the strength of Ketu's lord. Neither friends nor enemies have effect.

Tragic period of L-9 + L-12 Guru

  • 5 graha occupy 6th-from-Guru

  • except for Ketu, all D-1 graha are either Owned by Guru Or receive drishti of Guru

Shukra = "double L-6"

  • = 'sweets' illnesses = diabetes, other kidney ailment; Shukra = STD; also thyroid 'the balancer' is damaged

  • Also chronic imbalance in relationships with women

  • unlikely to enjoy having a wife (exacerbated by neechcha Shukra + Rahu in navamsha); will see marriage as inherent and irresolvable state of conflict

  • chronic argumentativeness, esp. in matters of Shukra such as marriage, harmonious relationships, keeping promises, adhering to terms of contract

  • tendency to be involved in exploitation and servitude

Karakamsha = bhava-11 - Rahu

  • communities, communes, international networks of association, fund-raising, sources of income

  • Rajneesha-OSHO is best known (at least in the USA) for the controversial international religious community under his putative direction, and for the accusations of illicit behavior (Rahu) regarding immigration (Rahu) and sources of income (11).

  • Lord of 11 = uchcha Guru, auspice of high religion.

  • Guru receives drishti of Rahu, amplifying both internationalization and illicitness. Guru receives drishti of Mangala, = sexualization, rebellion.

An astounding

Randhra Bhava

tremendous accumulation of graha in randhra bhava , the house of 'tantra' ("the texts") and mysterious, hidden forces. Also, catastrophe, disaster, emergency.

L-1+ L-2+ L-3+ L-5+ L-6+ L-7+ L-9+ L-10+ L-12 = in 8 and + Chandra = extremely strong transformative intuition and tendency toward self-destructive behavior . Tantriki par excellence.

  • Chandra = L-3 mentality (tenant uchcha Guru, spectacular fortune and wisdom)

  • Budha = L-5 (tenant Ketu)+ L-2 - children and family annihilated - L-7+L-10 from Chandra - lectures, announcements, publications = basis of career

  • Shukra = "double L-6" = L-6 and L-1 from lagna and L-6 and L-11 from Chandra = women, beauty, romantic love relationships, sensual pleasures - core to identity yet out-of-balance; wealth from L-6 = debt and when debt is annihilated in 8, the native can become extremely wealthy through a zero-debt lifestyle. L-6 in 8 is a major wealth indicator. Shukra controls L-11 from Moon = women control the income (much trouble through a female income manager).

  • Shani = L-9+L-10 a Yogakaraka for the Vrishabha lagna and a wealth graha L-2+L-3 from Moon. Shani the law-enforcer has a secret disregard for the law when in 8 (hypocrisy) but He brings dignity and religious truth as well as wealth and reputation through publications. OSHO was able to lextend his otherwise short longevity by moving to an arid, cold and windy climate in eastern Oregon = Shani/8.

  • Mangala = "double L-12" = L-7+L-12 and L-5+L-12 from Chandra. Male sexual pursuit, competition, aggression, athleticism, violent action are plunged into the transformative cauldron of Ayur bhava. Results are highly dynamic, energized, sexualized, and extreme.

Bepin Behari says of Mangala/Dhanusha/8:

  • "You are courageous despite setbacks in your personal career.

  • Married life may fail, colleagues may let you down and foreigners may create difficulties.

  • But you will transcend all difficulties and earn fame abroad.

  • Your occupation in life will be spectacular.

  • You will suddenly shoot up in glory and light.

  • And may die suddenly as well. "

"An increasing ability to serve is the only reliable sign of spiritual progress."

Vimshottari Dasha Narrative

Rajneesh OSHO Vimshottari dasha - Barbara Pijan Lama Jyotisha

Mahadasha of Shukra

  • Age 0-6, birth until 1937

  • lagnesha L-1+L-6 from Vrishabha lagna

  • L-6+L-11 from Shukra-ruled Purvashadha Chandra

  • Shukra = "double L-6"

Vimshottari period of the lagnesha is a time of establishing the flesh-based personality (can happen early or late in life, or not at all)

  • birth in a period of the lagnesha produces a strong and Shukra-dominated personality (due to Vrishabha lagna + Chandra in Rohini)

  • Shukra =L-6 from lagna and L-6 from Chandra = discomfort from illness and A charmingly Argumentative personality

  • This child is probably not very easy to live with;

    • disagreement of others create mysterious opportunities for him due to Viparita Raja Yoga = Harsha L-6 in 8

Mahadasha of Surya

Early childhood home, conventional education, parents

  • L-4 in 7 from Vrishabha lagna = a secure and balanced time focused on acquisition of basic cultural proficiency (including literary and numeracy) through local schooling. The young fellow would have a dominating personality perhaps, and need to have things arranged (7) to suit his personal view.

  • As L-9 from Chandra, mahadasha pati Surya has a quality of religious education, provided by the ritual community of your Chandra Mohan's parents

Mahadasha of Chandra

Emotional destruction and rebirth period of L-8 Chandra during his age 12-22. Karkata the 8th rashi from Chandra = his sahaja bhava the house of writing, and he was in school during the entire 10 yrs of Chandra mahadasha. He began an intensive study of world philosophies at this young age but it was somewhat in conflict with his naturally parochial schoolteachers. In fact despite obvious intelligence he was suspended from school several times. Further protection is delivered by uchchamsha Guru in Karkata. The emotional upheaval was distinctively noticeable but the native emerged with greater knowledge of both local customary beliefs and international philosophical dogma.

Secondary and post-secondary education, focus on writing (3) and occult topics (8)

  • Tenant of 3 = uchcha Guru, philosophy major, focus on reading/writing re: religious and philosophical texts

Chandra/Rahu

  • death of childhood sweetheart and cousin from typhoid, initiates a lifelong concern-obsession with death

  • Rahu gives the effect of L-8 Guru = sudden, forced change; upheaval; shocks.

  • Under auspice of uchcha Guru in 8th-from-8th, may provide insight into the turning of the wheel of Death and Rebirth.

Chandra/Shukra

  • enlightenment if complete detachment from self, self-marked at 21-March-1953, age 21 - period of the L-6 lagnesha, +L-8 from Chandra

Mahadasha of Mangala

  • Age 22-29 , years 1954-1961

  • L-7+L-12 from Vrishabha lagna

  • L-5/12 from Shukra-ruled Purvashadha Chandra

  • Mangala = "double L-12"

  • Viparita Raja Yoga = Vimala Yoga = L-12 in 8. Vimala yoga provides a rejuvenation (8) through the very forces which usually drain the fleshly vitality (12), such as situations which cause a loss of identity (going to distant locations) and vigorous (Mangala ) bedroom or other private practices. Mangala in association with bhava-12, in a spiritualized nativity, may give associations with foreign martial arts.

  • Mangala/Rahu

    • extremely contentious student behavior

    • Chandra-Mohan asked to leave his college and enroll elsewhere due to disruptive argumentativeness

    • Rahu's lord Guru = L-4 from Chandra = completion of schooling -- eventually, a college diploma in philosophy, earned largely in absentia

    • diploma granted in a period of Rahu who serves the L-8+L-11 Guru suggests an earned achievement, perhaps a hidden-money achievement

    Mangala/Shani

    • Shani = L-9L-10 (philosophy and public respect) from the Vrishabha lagna and L-2+L-3 (knowledge and writing) from Dhanusha Chandra

    • masters degree in philosophy with thesis

    Mangala/Budha

    • the period of itinerant professorship begins in Mangala/Budha and lasts until Rahu/Budha, with Budha like nearly all the graha being located in the tantrik, taboo-breaking, secretive 8th house.
    • Budha = L-2+L-5 for wealth in 8; and L-7+L-10 from the Dhanusha Chandra.

    • In general due to the proliferation of graha in bhava-8, the Rajneesh was able to successfully avoid taxes (8) on his income. Although his corporations were in perpetual tax lien, he personally did not own assets and despite many govt attempts he ultimately could not be made liable. Much activity in randhra bhava of hidden monies.

Mahadasha of Rahu

  • Age 29-47, years 1961-1978

  • Amplifies the Effects of Guru = L-8+L-11 from Vrishabha lagna

  • Amplifies the Effects of Guru = L-1+L-4 from Shukra-ruled Purvashadha Chandra

Rahu = karaka for foreigners and taboo-breaking

bhava-11 = communes, communities, networks of association.

  • naturally attracts an increasing volume of foreigners into the retinue

  • A mplification of the extraordinarily empowered uchcha Guru; the network grows worldwide.

  • Rahu/Shukra = starts the Pune Ashram

    • Shukra = lagnesha, amplifies the presence of the personality-identity
    • Also Shukra brings women who then bring "double L-6" trouble

Guru/Guru:

  • partly in a bid to extend his longevity (8) in the face of health deterioration, moves to USA, starts Rajneeshpuram in arid, mountainous eastern Oregon

  • Guru/Budha

    • = criminal arrest on USA tax evasion (8) and immigration fraud (12) charges,

    • L-2+L-5 Budha (wealth) L-7+L-10 (reputation) in 8th-from-Guru

    Guru/Ketu

    • Ketu's legendary great wander = moving from country to country in a private jet with his entourage,

    • in multiple countries shunned and told to leave.

    Guru/Shukra

    • bhukti of lagnesha Shukra = return to the homeland and recover (4) some measure of a stable (4) identity,

    • however Shukra = L-6 in 8th-from-mahadashapati, and health imbalance worsens

    Guru/Surya

    • = death in a period of L-4, "the end of things" in the homeland.
    • Surya = L-9 from Chandra = the ritual funeral ceremony would have been properly performed.
