He is also a "think globally, act locally" businessman & social change activist who has been deeply involved with both grassroots & conventional regional political action.  Currently he owns & operates a successful urban healing center in west-coast USA that offers hatha yoga, massage, healing oils, meditation etc.  His customers are predominantly female, along with some artistic men.  Lord of 10th Navamsha   Karmaa Bhava [10th-from-radix-lagna]; L-10 & Aspects to L-10 - public status Phaladeepika says:  If the lord of the 10th house occupies the Navamsha of Venus, the native will make his living through women, cows, buffaloes, elephants, horses, through dancing in all its three forms, through silver, scents, milk, ornaments and silken fineries, royal associations & his own poetic talents. His interests in foreign magical/spiritual practices and the deepest meditative traditions of his own native culture are obvious through the shamanistic force of Rahu rising in Scorpio.   In addition to his business and teaching interests in esoteric arts, he is also personally charismatic.  He has a healing touch, and remarkable social vision. Note either Rahu/Ketu in lagna in D1, D9, and D10!  This fellow is a provider of transformative healing knowledge for many people.  And he is naturally willing to test his information on himself, which makes his Rahu charisma that much stronger. A Prominent Politics-and-Wisdom 10th house Note the super-strong 10th house boasting Jupiter and Mars in the very hospitable, wisdom-oriented sign of Vedic Leo. Mars is strong as lagnesha but as 6th lord, Mars is best suited to an educational healing center where karma, disease, and animosity can be directly addressed and released through the physical body.  His current business is a yoga and healing center offering several types of alternative medical services. Jupiter is wonderful in Leo in karma-dharma bhava [house-10] where He functions as a Guru/Professor.  Lord of house-2 ruling the oral wisdom traditions and house-5 of performance art, self-expression, and blessings from past lives including children [poorva punya] Guru in 10 gives tremendous inspired leadership capability. Auspicious 9th lord Chandra also aspects the 10th, bringing an even strong dose of spirituality flowing from the world's ancient spiritual lineages through this man's work. A rather weaker Dashamsha Rabbi's D-10 reveals some weakness, however.  Surya, the rashi 10th lord, is weak in Virgo/12 in D10. The weakness is somewhat compensated by being vagottama. [in same sign in both rashi and D-10]. Vargottama graha give strongly defined results in their Vimshottari periods. Ketu rising in D-10 also highlights his esoteric interests.  Since the D10 is about career and profession, clearly his career should always be grounded in his personal meditation interests.  Luckily for him, he has always lived in areas of the world where his inwardness can be developed into a public service.  He has explored professional service in counseling, teaching of meditation techniques, mental development, and other philosophical practices. Jupiter is also vargottama in his D10, indicating that his core service is always a professorial/guru level of spiritual teaching.  Because Jupiter in D10 accompanies Moon, who is L9 in rashi, the man's prognosis for success in the spirituality business
