Wealth 2:

Professional Salary, Profitable Investments, & Substantial Inheritance

Best fortunes in life comes through the 5th and 9th houses and their lords.

This hard-working professional man draws from excellent past-life credit in the current incarnation, which we can see by the fine planets involved in putra and dharma sthanas.

He is an excellent multi-cultural communicator, scholar, and skilled investor who gained wealth in diligent foreign service.

Throughout Guru's Mahadasha, this senior corporate servant earned a good salary which increased consistently over that 16-year period.  Guru being located  in purva-punya house-5 in company of the 5th lord Budha and the professional 7th lord Surya, he was able to draw on considerable past-life credit while he consistently took speculative career risks with very fortunate results.

He was raised in materially modest circumstances, as indicated by the 4th-lord Shukra who defines the home environment occupying the disadvantageous 6th house.  Father had some substance-abuse & emotional problems which we can see from the sweet-loving 9th lord Shukra occupying poverty-and-addictions Ari bhava.  However the first life mahadasha is the major period of the Moon indicating the fine character of the mother which provided him more than adequate foundation in life because Moon occupies the sheltering, grounding 4th house with added power of exaltation and vargottama to navamsha.

Although the parent's incompatibilities (note Sun/Moon at the hostile, suspicious 2/12 angle) caused by their bi-cultural marriage was awkward socially in youth, he learned to negotiate several sets of values with detachment (Ketu) and intellectual skill (Budha).  Thus he was was advantageously positioned in adulthood, when the global era started, to assume a series of very successful roles in foreign service handling numerous nationalities & cultural traditions.

wealth_ch2_dasha.GIFMars & Rahu mahadashas in his young adult development periods were predictably avant-garde and kept him constantly engaged with foreigners ( the strongest trait of Rahu is association with foreigners).  Involvement with foreigners will often keep a person socially marginal and prevent them from rising to the power positions in their own culture.  However he never suffered any serious shortage of funds even when he behaved in the socially experimental ways of Rahu, due to both Mars and Rahu receiving the highly auspicious drishtis of Guru and Budha.

In his multi-cultural upbringing the particular cultural mix included a very hard-working lineage and a very social conversational lineage that perfectly suited him to later prosper in international business.

The mother's family = 2nd-from-Moon Mithuna (putra bhava)

  • is very talkative from Budha

  • intellectually inclined from Surya

  • somewhat mystical due to Ketu

  • has wealth values from Guru.

The father's family = 2nd-from-Sun Karka in the highly inauspicious Ari bhava

  • tends toward addiction

  • suffers depression

  • has losses through indulgence

However Ari bhava does contain yogakaraka Shukra who as lord of 4th-house giving education and 9th-house giving religion, is not a crippling influence in the big picture. Occupying 10th-from-his own house (Thula) also helps Shukra in this position; it gives dignity to his ability to socialize using indulgent, addictive substances.  Shukra might  be problematic in his personal love life, but L-9 positioned in 10th-from-9th suggests that this pleasure of indulgence provides a career networking skill.

To enhance Guru's magic, he obtained a fine quality yellow sapphire which was applied with full vedic ritual correctness at onset of Guru mahadasha .  This targeted gem enhanced L2-L11Guru's already strong wealth-producing powers and provided him global opportunities for scholarship, travel, and self-expression.

Guru here also indicates romance and childlessness; this native has many fascinating romantic liaisons but no children.

wealth2_shadbala.gifAt onset of Shani's mahadasha, he received the sad news that his maternal grandfather had died.  However a substantial monetary inheritance from that relative followed shortly.  Note L12-lagnesha Shani, lord of 9th-from-Moon representing mother's father, exalted in extremely fortunate dharma bhava and exceptionally strong in shad-bala.

Following the inheritance, his investments, funded through a good salary earned by accepting very high levels of senior management responsibility, continued to flourish in spite of negative world trends.   However his workload also tripled.  Shani occupies the most excellent house dharma sthana in his exalted sign.  Further Shani receives drishti of Guru who occupies the second-most-excellent house putra sthana.  But Shani is still Shani, the task-master.

Prognosis is excellent for the remainder of mahadasha of Shani who is the always-auspicious lagnesha and also exalted in dharma bhava.  This native will continue to accept large-scale responsibility for himself and on behalf of his father's ethnic and religious lineage.  Thus, duties of priesthood will be imposed as the mahadasha proceeds.  Continued good fortune from speculation and continued hard work are both forecast.

A very long life is caused by 8th-lord Budha yuti Guru in fortunate putra bhava.  Native will live long and prosper, but he will probably be working on the day he dies.  Such is the power of exalted Shani!
