gem recommendation for Rabindranath Tagore Shani = "double L-11" = social networks, material income, goals achieved Reading in Progress, please check back double parivartamsha yoga
Birth
time is from an unconfirmed source, listed at www.astrodatabank.com
with a note saying source is unknown/unconfirmed. If the birth time is at all reliable, it seems like 04:06 is a better fit. 04:06 hrs would put Mithuna and Mrigashira in navamsha lagna and Guru = lord of 10th navamsha.
Also Tagore's wife was very young (age ten) at time of their ritual marriage and also she was twelve years his junior = more consistent with Kumara the Youth in Tagore's navamsha lagna. Also with advance of the birth time to 04:06, Mithuna moves into dashamsha lagna which seems necessary to confirm the extraordinary career of the native , clearly based in communications, narrative writing, publications, meetings and correspondence.

L-4 Meena-Chandra in bhava-12 parivartamsha with uchcha Guru in 4 in
RevatiNakshatra
ruled by Budha ; Budha is greatly strengthened in Tagore's
nativity via its own parivartamsha with Mangala Chandra accepts Parashari
drishti of His Lord uchcha Guru with whom Chandra also enjoys
a parivartamsha yoga. A retreating, wealthy, and deeply
spiritual mother who lives in open communication with ancestor
spirits Chandra is blessed in matters of
spiritualized religion -- the religious practice of meditation
and prayer Due to Soma's marvelous relationships
(incoming drishti of His lord plus parivartamsha) with uchcha
Guru the Priest, Chandra is also capable of full participation
in the public, ceremonial functions of religion, including a
deep emotional apprehension of the inner meaning of outer
orthodoxy the native is a profoundly sincere religionist, free
from false piety but still dedicated to the values of orthodox
("straight teaching") schooling (4) in the root culture (4) Personal and Family Emotional harmony in life is somewhat compromised by Chandra in
12, which causes the native to need (Soma) to wander in
distant lands. L- in 12 generally
will dissolvethe attachments to home culture, to mother, and to
the Earthly location into which one was born. Uchcha Guru
largely corrects the negative aspects of this yearning to
wander. He does travel extensively but the
traveling is not harmful due to protection of Lord Guru. Tagore becomes an itinerant (12)
ambassador of his home culture and a distinguished (Guru =
L-10 navamsha) international (12, Guru) exemplar of the
Bengali literary tradition. Nevertheless he does not stay home
very much, and his attachment to the world's children is
somewhat greater than his attachment to his own family. Cautionary periods: Chandra =
6/8 angle from L-10+L-11 Shani
=
emotional (Chandra) conflict with the restrictions of public-duty
roles (Shani, 10) Shani-Chandra
periods exhibit the destruction-and-rebirth cycle of the 8th
angle. Chandra-Shani periods exhibit some variety
of servitude and likely some illness which puts stress upon the
heart. During Chandra-Shani period, if the birth time is accurate,
Tagore was engaged in difficult work upon his Gitanjali,
which was very demanding (note Shani in a hostile rashi Simha and
hostile bhava-5) The literary workload was heavy, and so much
creative writing in a hot climate probably made him feel sick. Chandra = 12th from Shukra + Surya + Budha
Shukra-Chandra,
Surya-Chandra, and Budha-Chandra periods create excessive
interiority. These periods illuminate the creative
imagination, but these periods also drain the energy away from
the physical body vitality and from investment in the social
personality's engagement with the material world. One pulls
inward.
In Tagore's case these periods might
have felt like voluntary imprisonment (12)
which was necessary to produce literary works of the fertile
spiritual imagination.
Although difficult socially, they would
have been comfortable financially and secure physically due to
Chandra's protection from Lord Brihaspati.
L-1+L-6
Mithuna Mangala + Ketu =
L-2+L-9 from Meena Chandra Kuja = a tremendously vital and
competitivenatural malefic =
lord of two trines tendency toward ambivalent action and
self-doubt due to damage from Ketu. L-2+L-9 from
Chandra energizes the
sermonizingbehaviors (2 = voice, 9 =
preaching) and focuses active can-do attention upon matters of
values development in children
Mangala attains great communicative strengthas the
lagnesha enjoying parivartamsha yoga with L-3 (writings) Budha
Ketu pushes his literary expressions into the realm of
philosophically detached but vividly, vitally descriptive poetry
Kuja period scan certainly result in sickness and
marital discord as a result of Kuja's overly active, warlike
style of getting things done combined with Ketu's "surrender"
attitude. Seva
Despite the positive auspice of the parivartamsha yoga,
Mangala does occupy the notorious
3rd from
Budha and thus some mental agitation leading to a nervous
depression could be predicted for this period.
The cure for unfavorable results as always would be Seva,
particularly targeted to young men (Mangala) of marginalized
social station (Ketu) who needed skills and training to begin
their own commercial business (3) - however modest. Vitality of Mangala Mangala + Ketu occupies 12th-from-Guru, and
Guru plays a dominating role in Tagore's life It may be desirable to remove the mungaduring Guru period since Mangala would overly energize the
imagination and perhaps disturb the ease of global (Guru)
expansion as well as local community (11) development which
Lord Brihaspati wishes to effect L-3+L-6 Mesha-Budha = L-4+L-7 from Meena Chandra accepting Parashari
drishti of the Guru-ruled amplifier Rahu.
Budha is an essentially unfortunate graha,
lord of 3-6, with a kendra-adhipati yoga as measured from the
Chandra lagna. Budha rules no trine from either lagna or
Chandra; therefore the Kumara will give mental troubles
during His periods. Yet, Budha's default output is transformed
via parivartamsha with the L-6+L-1 lagnesha Mangala. On the beneficial side, the quantity of literary output is
fueled and made exceptionally active On the negative side, the radix L-6 Budha mixes agenda
with the radix L-8 Mangala, giving a productive but often
adversarial and confrontational style of interaction with
others. Tagore was a genius by all accounts. Yet he was reputedly
a man of uneven temper, very much prone to
fluctuations of mood attributable to the Budha-Mangala
relationship engaging the personality (1) with the
communicative faculties (3) while Mangala occupies the
hyper-mental
3rd from
Budha note that the Budha-Mangala parivartamsha includes
the ambivalent, apathetic, dour Ketu/3 who flattens
the mood as well Cautionary periods: Budha = neither 6/8 nor 2/12 from any graha
Despite His unfortunate house ownership,
Budha's periods are made somewhat easier
because Kumara has good angles from other graha L-9+L-12 uchcha Guru = L-1+L-10 from Chandra
Guru

Guru rules two trines and = lord of
Chandra uchcha Guru accepts no drishti = Brihaspati
operates unimpeded by the agenda of any other graha matters of world culture and high
philosophy (9) as well as subconscious (12) and private,
imaginative realms (12) are enhanced Cautionary periods: Guru occupies 8th-fr Rahu and 12th-from
Shani periods of Rahu-Guru will enforce large
scale and sudden expansion and transformations of the
parochial belief system periods of Shani-Guru cause loss of
interest in the root culture andhard workneeded to produce
works of literary creativity. These works may have a global
significance but they are nevertheless very taxing to produceand take away time that one might prefer to invest in
community development work or even just purposeful
socializing. During Shani-Guru periods, one may indeed
learn to resent and resistthe
responsibilities attendant upon having been born with an
exceptional intelligence, and having mastered such a high
level of literary expression. One is literally forced to
create; it is not, during Shani periods, the joyful experience
that outsiders might presume. L-7+L-2 ashta
Shukra = L-3+L-8 from Meena Chandra Shukra = rules no trines occupies rashi of unfriendly Mangala Shukra = completely
moudhya = combust - nearly
all of Shukra's independent power to harmonize and accommodate
the interests of partners has been burned away by Ravi L-2+L-7 Shukra's nobility of intention
to maintain contractual bonds in this life are almost
completely destroyed by the intensity of radiant, confident
uchcha Surya. the native is very attractive and
noble in bearing. A princely comportment, loves to be
first, best, smartest, the winner. Bloodline purity is
important to him. (Prince = "first".) Yet also a love of
luxury and attraction to ladies which is contradictory to the
public image of a pure native son. Shukra occupies 23 Mesha while Ravi
holds 24, forcing Shukra into combust = asta condition which paralyzes
matters of marriage, long-term harmony in relationship of all
kinds, but increase physical body magnetic attractiveness. Despite all good
intentions, infidelities are present, and a love of
clandestine (12) activity is pronounced. Vitality of Shukra = unobstructed Shukra does not occupy the 6, 8, or 12
angle from any graha in the nativity. Therefore periods of
Shukra can be predicted to generate material wealth and
sensual pleasure, especially pleasures of the private
bedchamber (12); and these periods execute with
very little obstruction Almost Deathless S From the Mesha lagna, both the natural
animosity between Surya and Shukra and the fact that Shukra
bhukti is the terminal sub-period of the Surya Mahadasha are
significant amplifiers of Shukra's maraka empowerment. However there are several exceptions
to this general rule. The exceptions arise via relationship
between Surya and Shukra in the nativity. Tagore's nativity provides an excellent
example of one of these exceptions in action. Tagore experienced his
Surya-Shukra period at age 43.
According
to Shri Parashara, Surya-Shukra should have been fatal .
However, in Tagore's nativity thecombust .htm">

along with uchcha Surya, who both gives
vitality to Tagore AND almost completely

Dhanushya-Rahuis enormously influential in Tagore's kundali. Rahu

as upon Shani, = Rahu amplifies the L-2+ L-3+ L-5,L-6+ L-7+ L-9 and L-10 as well as radix lagna.
A grand trinebetween
Rahu-Surya-Budha-Shukra-Shani Rahu provides huge "upward
leap" energy in matters of foreign (Rahu) philosophies (9). Tagore's 18 year long Rahu period between 1922 and
1940 created relationships with literati, artists, and philosophers
from both salon and university cultures, all over the world. Cautionary periods Rahu = 6/8 from Guru During the

Budha is an unfavorable angle for mental health, signaling
depression and negative expectations. When Ketu occupies this
angle, the native may experience a crippling apathy with
underlying despair. Spiritually, this position is excellent
for achieving knowledge of truth without misleading
qualifications and judgments. Emotionally it is a time of flat
perception and aimless wandering. Budha-Ketu period could
be exceptionally listless and also agitated mentally due
to the complications of Mangala. In fact, Tagore experienced this period
only in astral form, immediately before taking his physical
body in the year CE-1861. Ketu in 3 with the L-1+L-6 Mangala is good
for writing in a reflective, ego-detached voice about matters
of ego dissolution and practice of separation from material
identity Cautionary periods:
Mangala + Ketu occupies 12th-from-Guru, and
Guru plays a dominating role in Tagore's life in addition to His karaka functions of
separation, abandonment and surrender, Ketu subperiods during
major periods of Guru can drain the enthusiasm for travel,
learning, and philosophical life, rendering the native fit for
sannyas
