36 Portions:	Many cultures use this type of 36-part divisional reckoning to divide up the sky and calculate time. In the Western tradition, the custom of 36 divisions is attributed to Egyptian sources. Jyotisha utilizes a typological chart = Drekkana which divides each 30 degree rashi into 3 parts.
Kharesha:	The lord of the 22nd drekkana from the radix lagna (or from Chandra lagna) = "Khaaresha". The Kharesha has destructive implications. The Kharesha indicates the greatest natural strength of Vrischika = the cycle of form-destruction and rebirth. Sudden turnings of the cycle of birth and death, radical transformation of the vital life-force energy, catastrophic shocks, hidden forces, sometimes "disaster" (literally: bad stars). Shamans traditionally have strong pointers toward the 22nd drekkana. The Kharesha rules the "middle third" of the 8th house of the radix. It is also potentially relevant to consider the Kharesha as counted from the navamsha lagna.
